Its time to announce the dates for this year's Friday Harbor gathering. The gathering will be May 18,19,20. I don't know the fishing/shrimping/crabbing seasons yet but Lingcod should be open. The schedule will follow previous years, dinner at Downrigger Friday evening, potluck on the breakwater Saturday afternoon, etc. So as soon as Mike or Bill sets up a sign up we'll get started. We hope to see you there.

To quote a portion of an old Johnny Horton song, "Way up north, North to ...... (diversion here) Cattle Pass, Going north the rush is on." Well anyway, I'll try and find my way north again at least that far. Depends on the work thing again as always. Oh to be retired.

Would a SeaSport get chased off if wanting to attend?

We had our Rawson 30 Pilothouse moored at Friday Harbor for a couple of years. A nice marina, and good people. Lots of pleasant memories.......

C-Sport, you are more than welcome. Only caveat would be to have either Barry or I do a CGAux vessel safety exam on your boat and get you the current sticker for 2012. (Not really required, but highly suggested)

Did I mention that we (Barry and I) have the 2012 CGmAux Vessel Exam stickers and will be doing as many as you want at where ever we are. FH being the first.

We're planning to attend (we'll sign up as soon as there's a sign up!). We came for a few hours last year, by ferry since we didn't have a boat. Now we have the boat and would love to do the VSC.

I've gotten the proposed menu from Downriggers restaurant for our Friday night dinner. It is the same as last year but some prices have changed halibut!! so I thought I'd put it out there for comments. If you would like something different, something added or dropped please say so here. We can change then menu up to a couple of weeks before the dinner so there is a lot of time. I try to have at least one salad dish, one pasta dish and one lower cost dish on the menu just for variety. Anyway, here it is: Please comment.

Sign up is on the first page (Home) at the top (event signups). Slips are usually first-come, first-served but Barry gets all of "H" dock w/ some over flow across from it. Usually not a problem of space. Slip into a slip, go to the office and pay. Easy-peezy!
