Toni and I will be there, if and when there is a sign up list. Just let us know what to bring if there is going to be a potluck or group meal. (don't get carried away Ken)
 
Well, that settles it. April 14-15 it is, and B~C is the Cruise Director. I hope he knows what he's getting into with the "back water tour". This river don't go to Aintry.
 
yikes, this is drawing near :) maybe we could cajole Larry into talking the harbormistress into saving us a few spots, if not I can run down there and check it out.
They have a fine, covered, dining area we can probably commandeer for a potluck Saturday evening. I'll keep an eye out for some good road kill to BBQ, if I can't find any, I'll see what I can find in the Foster Farms dumpster.

I see there are a few C-rangers plying the river now, will they venture downriver to Cathlametstan?

Perhaps a rare 18' C-D will makes it's debut?
 
I'll go check it out tomorrow, in years past you didn't need to reserve a slip, they just saved a chunk of dock for the group.
 
Yo Ken! I'm on vacation down here in Florence, Or. right now. Typing this on a WIFI laptop. Heck, just give Jackie a call at the marina, I'll stop in there when I get back and tie up any loose ends if there are any.
 
Larry- how can you tell if you're on vacation or not?

I finally got off my duff and gave Jackie a call to set aside a chunk O' dock for the annual C-D,R migration. She was going to pencile in dock space for 6-10 boats. All one has to do is show up & pay for your slip fee.

Good news, no rain this year, aint allowin it. I'm still looking for that just right road kill for the Saturday evening BBQ

Should be fun.......Larry, gotta boat?
 
Ken, got room for one more boat? We found out everything is scheduled for that weekend (the salmon derby, the fin clipping and the Cathlamet gathering) and we picked what we reallllly wanna do :)

We're hoping to do some fishing and try out the new speed control for the kicker :thup and if the salmon don't want to bite, maybe a sturgeon will!

Ray, where the hell have you been? ya better show up. The fish will be so thick, you'll be able to walk across the river on their backs :)
 
Not speaking from experience, as I've only caught 1 springer in my life and that was on a quickfish with sardine wrap, soaked in egg goo, but I've HEARD either that method or trolling cut plug herring....that time I caught the springer on that stuff, we were tied off to some wingdams out of St. Helens...strange methodology, but it worked :thup
 
We still plan to make it. If the weather is real good we might run up Friday evening. We would want to wait until the tide turned and leave no earlier than 6:00. I have been around the corner past Tongue Point at the end of the afternoon ebb and don't really want to do it again. Most likely we will be leaving Saturday morning about 7:00.
 
There aren't very many names on the signup list. We might have to fly in a foreigner or two just to liven up the potluck.
