03/26 - 03/28 - Jarrell's Cove

Pat and all,
Looks like it will be Saturday morning before we can launch. Hopefully we can meet up with you all at Allyn? Got some cell numbers for some of you and will either try one of those to see where you all are, or call on VHF 68.

Jim, Better you than Jon to have cell numbers for us :) The big Jer Cove date draws near, it looks like the weather may be good, bad, or somewhere in between.
With folks filtering in on Saturday, I'm casting my vote for a Sunday breakfast cruise

Ken,
Have you determined the approximate departure time from Johnson Point? Jeff was mentioning that he would like to launch from some where near Olympia. We would be greatful to tag up with you. We had Immacu-nada out on the water last weekend to do the break in routine with the new yamaha 90, and ended up towing a boat back to Coulon Park because their motor took a dump and they were on hour 6 of the break in time. "Little Toot" aka Immacu-nada, came to the rescue! That makes us a little insecure, going out into the great yonder on our own! We would be happy to tag up with you if it works out. Jeff was also wondering about a safe place to park the truck for the night. Input would be gladly accepted :P Looking forward to the weekend.

:lips Diane and :beer Jeff

J & D, M has to work Friday morning so we're shooting for about 3ish. Parking is what I'm pondering, Johnson Point is out in the sticks and you have to park on a hill away from eye sight of the marina (had no problems last time we left the rig there though). Swantown in Oly has a nice lighted parking lot just a few blocks from the rescue mission (had no problems the last time we parked there either) and a lot nicer ramp & loading dock.......How would you folks feel about launching at Swantown in Oly?
We'll keep you posted and send you some phone numbers.

Yeah, I vote for Sunday too - everybody will be there by then and whoever wants to go to breakfast will be able to. That sound like a plan?

We'll be coming over on Friday. I don't know the area, so I'm trying to make a decision about a launch site. I'm looking at Joemma State Park and Boston Harbor in Olympia. Does anyone know how far it is from Olympia to Jarrell's Cove? We'll be coming down Hwy 18 and intersecting with I-5 at Federal Way. Are there any better launch spots when coming from the north? We're looking forward to seeing all of you again.
Lyle

Lyle it is 19 miles from Swantown Marina in Olympia to Jarrell Cove. Jon and I will be launching from Swantown on Thursday. The launch is nice and the parking is patrolled. If the weather gets real bad and we can't get out it is a nice marina with hookups.
See ya Friday

Hey Jon and Fred, as my e-mails said I'll most likely join you at Swantown Thursday morning. Wind looks like 10-20 north of Narrows Bridge. South Sound will give us more protection.

See you tomorrow.

I am envious - don't any of you have to, you know, like WORK or anything on Thursdays??

Hope to see you all on Saturday sometime.

Sounds like a plan to me, Roger! See you there. Get Sensei back together!

Glad you can make it Roger. If it's raining like a pig tomorrow,we're going to hold off and leave early Saturday morning, no sense in abusing our heaterless selves.

What's happening with the Saturday night pot luck? I can't load enough fish on my BBQr to fill folks up.

We're coming over tomorrow afternoon to Swantown Marina. If the weather's really bad, we're going to stay on the boat there for the night, walk into town for dinner and head to Jarrell's Cove on Saturday morning.
I'm not in charge of food, so I don't know what we're bringing, but we will bring ample food for the Saturday night potluck.
Lyle

Lyle, Cherries, will there be cherries? Maybe we'll run into you at Swamptown
HellenO Larry? Lars? you folks still going? It would be kind of neat if while waiting for the weekly accident at Centrailia to clear up we all met up
