03/07 - 03/09 - St. John's River, Florida Gathering

Colby, Thanks for posting the new pix. I went looking in your album for them  instead of going back up to the link. I'll bring thelink down again here.

Hope that works and makes it easier for others to find.

Sure seems like that CBGT went by quick, even from this end.

Colby, You're Welcome and thanks for the new pix.

I remember learning to spot the bald eagles, way back when: "Look for a golf ball in the trees". It has worked for me for much of a life time.

Enjoy the rest of the trip. You all sitting around in shorts and T-shirts . . . . ahhh making me jealous. Maybe next year.

The shorts and t-shirts will be short lived Harvey. At least for us. We expect to be back home in Wisconsin, Wednesday afternoon. I just looked at the most recent forecast. 6-8 inches of snow between this evening and tomorrow. Hopefully the neighbors will have my driveway cleared before we get home. LOL! (They will. I normally plow for the whole neighborhood when I'm home. We all tend to look out for each other.) Colby

Off the River at about 9:30 AM today, and home at 5:30 PM after a 450 mile drive--short in comparison to many. A great gathering and "Post gathering cruise" thanks mostly to Tom and Joyce. Great guides, but I will have to do a little cleaning up of the edges of my almost new prop! :)

Again, thanks to all who made it such a great gathering-and further verification of the C Brat extended family! Photos will be up in a day or so...

Thanks to all attendees for making the 4th Annual Hontoon Island C-Brat Gathering the best ever! We were blessed with perfect weather and calm waters. Your generosity with the silent auction, 50-50 drawings and donations raised $1,108 for projects at Hontoon Island State Park. I'll post photographs of the items that we purchase for the park on this link.

If I listed all the brats that volunteered to help with the gathering we would have virtually everyone's name listed here! THANKS! THANKS! THANKS!Joyce and I are already planning for next year's gathering. Looking forward to see our C-Brat family again. Next year's tentative date for the gathering will be March 6,7,8. Yep....in the middle of the week again. And.....yes.... we will have Publix chicken again Cliff!

As we left Hontoon Island Friday, Joyce and I lingered at the C-Dory Memorial bench and reflected on our C-Brat friends both new and old. See YOU at Hontoon next year.....if not before.

Tom

Thanks so much for providing such a great experience in our first C-Dory trip. We had a great time and learned so much. We look forward to many more trips and gatherings. The official festivities and the pre and post activities provided really great learning opportunities and truly fun times! Thanks to all for taking such good care of us. And thanks particularly to Joyce and Tom for working so tirelessly to make the event such a success. See you next time.. C. A. and Bettie, Bettie's Bayou

Hi CA
Glad you had a good time at the gathering. Looking forward to seeing you, Betty and the rest of the Hontoon Island C-Brat group next year if not before.

Went shopping with Park Manager today for the new tool box that was much needed at the park. See Ken's BIG grin. Thanks again to all who donated "treasures" for the silent auction, those like me who overpaid. :D
50/50 participation, donated winnings and money left over from expenses helped raise $1,108 for the projects. The second project will be shelving for the office. Ill post photos when that project is completed

Here's the new cabinet for Tess at Hontoon Island. The total cost was $700. We gave $508 and another person gave the rest. Thanks for making this possible! The staff at the park can't wait for our return next year!
