03/07 - 03/09 - St. John's River, Florida Gathering

Its time again to plan for your Florida escape. This will be our 4th gathering at Hontoon Island State Park. Starting Tuesday March 7th through Thursday March 9th. Yep...midweek but you can come early and stay later. Come and go as you wish. Last year we had 39 boats total and ran out of slips. (None can be reserved.) The staff at Hontoon Island State Park are looking forward to our return. Slips are still about $20 plus tax with showers, water and 30amp electric....half that if over 65 and Florida Resident. You'll enjoy the boating, campfires, food and fellowship! We will also have a short memorial service for fellow C-Brat Bruce Cassal who passed last year. Donations from last year allowed for a memorial Grill and Bench which we will dedicate at the gathering.

Please sign up as soon as possible and if plans change let me know ASAP as we must limit this to 40 boats. Thanks... Tom

to the Moderator....please set up event signup and album...thanks

Hi Brats!

Marcia and I plan on attending with our new 25, but I have question that I hope someone can help me with.

I'll be in the same area with Valkyrie II in January, will return to Ohio without the boat and then we both will come back to FL shortly before the CBGT and head to the Keys for a couple weeks before heading back home.

Here's my question: does anyone know of a secure facility where we could leave Valkyrie for about six weeks just prior to the CBGT? Hopefully, something of in the same area?

Oops! Never mind. I just saw the second post.

Tom and Joyce...thanks for your help in organizing this!

Thanks,

Nick and Marcia

Hi Tom and Joyce
Can't believe it's here again! Toby and I are excited. I cannot find this event in the sign up list...only the one for Appalachicola. Would it be possible for you to add our name to the list? We will be arriving on Sunday and be able to help with early set up and dock patrol for new arrivals.
You can drop me an e-mail @Tadlandscaping7@gmail.com or by phone at 321-432-5071.
Thanks...Tad

Hi All

Can't wait to see everyone at Hontoon Island next March. Yes ....time goes fast. We just got back to Florida after "boater homing" for well over 2 months. Lots of fun with fellow brats. Joyce and I always keep our own personal list and we have everyone that noted that they are coming on this link on it. I sent a PM asking the moderator to set up a sign up and put us on the main page a few days ago. Should happen soon! If not I'll send a reminder.

Back to work on the C-otter. I'm working on installing a new air head, battery monitor, and cold water rinse for cleaning dive gear. Then down to the keys for some SCUBA diving.

More latter..... Tom

Thisaway/Thataway will be there! Probably a few days early and after for a week or so...Had such a great time last year--thanks!

Event sign up list?

Hi Bob .....I sent a PM to TyBoo to set this up a few days ago and he has not opened it yet. Must be on vacation? Glad you and Marie are planing on joining us on the St. John's River next March. You'll have to tell us more about the upper Mississippi.

Stay well .....Tom

Thanks to Mike we now have a signup. Please EVERYONE take the time to sign in. This really helps us out down the road. I send further information by PM as we get close to the gathering.

Colby your number one to signup! Great job!

This is going to be our best gathering ever!

Thanks Tom and Joyce

The crew of Meri Aura will be camping in Cabin 5 and will not need dock space. Start saving "stuff" for the silent auction......more details later.

Speaking of dock space, should we be making our own reservations as we did last year? Actually, I just remembered, it's first come first serve, so guess no reservations needed. Other than to let you know we plan on using dock space. :-) We do plan on coming in a few days early and spending several days afterwards. Hope to arrive Sunday the 5th and then depart no later than the morning of the 15th. I'll use the same ramp I did last year at Ed Stone. That worked out well! Now lets pray for no major storms between Wisconsin and Florida! Colby
