01/29 - 01/31 - 2010 Seattle Boat Show/C-Brat Convention

I got an email from Linda today and she informed me that there were two parties that called the motel directly for rooms. we ask that you call or email Linda for reservations so that we can keep it all together.
If you have called the motel instead of Linda I would appreciate it if you would PM me with a name and either email or phone #
Thank you. we are up to 28 rooms now

ps
David, I am sorry that you won't be with us for the gathering. It is always good to see you.

Roger (Sensei) has asked me to make name tags for the SBS CBGT. I would be glad to do this and ask that anyone planning on attending sign up in the "Event Signups" area at the top of the homepage.

If I do not already have all your information, I'll e-mail you for your full names, Boat name, color and model. I'll also need your home town. If you're new to the C-Brats, you could send that to me in advance. Thanks

Unfortunately, Sally and I will not make it this year. Just too much going on here with work and other stuff. Our 47YO son in law had a stroke a week ago and, although he's home, Sally is helping out with the kids and care, etc. My daughter works full time as a cardiac care Nurse Practitioner which, during the event itself, was not only helpful but probably lifesaving.

Looks like he may fully recover but it'll take some time with physical and speech therapy etc.

We'll miss everyone, have a great time and post pictures. If we'd have come, it would have been for the company, not the show!

Charlie

Charlie, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It is truly a blessing that your daughter's care and education/training are with your son-in-law!
I will miss seeing you and Sally at the CBC. I'll miss your remarkable witticisms, you truly bring a smile to my face

Charlie and Sally-

We'll all miss you in Seattle, and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your Son, Daughter, and their family.

Joe. :teeth :thup

Charlie,

We will miss you too. Know our prayers are with your family as your son-in-law heals. It is a well documented fact that early detection (read daughter's fast action) made a great big difference in his recovery abilities. Strokes seem to be happening to younger and younger people all the time. We have 2 friends (not related) who have each had a serious stroke in the early 40's, both with nearly undetectable recovery. Unfortunately, both have had some visual deficit, but compensate well. Best wishes to all.

Thanks to all who have sent me the pertinent info for your name tags. I still need to hear from CAW, dahkota and Narcdog.

Charlie, we'll miss you. All the best to your Son for a speedy recovery.

See you all in a week!

Any interest in carpooling to the boat show on Saturday? Also, dinner out before the swap meet? Roger, is there a breakfast place nearby for Sunday?

Warren

I signed up for this some months ago but was not sure how it would fit with my schedule. I finally have it worked out and will be there Friday afternoon through Saturday. I also convinced Ben Toland and Mack Toland to attend and they will be there sometime Friday and Saturday, but don’t know their schedule so not sure how long they will be there on Saturday. I just got off the phone with Linda and reserved a couple of rooms for us.

If anyone wants a little history about the C-Dory or Cape Cruiser boats, now is your chance. Corner Ben or Mack or both and ask.

Mack is now helping Ben finish our boat the Marinaut 215, so if you want more information about it you can also ask one of them. The Marinaut 215 is so close to completion, I was hoping to be able to show it off at this get-together but all we will have are some photos.

I look forward to seeing every one.

Hi All Am looking forward to the CBGT. Can anyone give me a run down as to date, time, is it a pot luck, and are we having a swap meet during? What room at the Larkspur will we be using for the get together? Thank you and again looking forward to it.
Chuck

Hi Chuck,

The dates are at the head of this thread, (Jan 29-31) at the Larkspur. I believe the Pot Luck is Friday night, but I may be wrong here since I didn't just go back and reread the whole thread and Deena is the one who pays attention to the food prep stuff.

Don't know for sure about the swap meet for sure, heard inklings but nothing for sure, maybe Roger (Sensei) can through a spotlight on that for us.

Register at the "Event Sign up" on the home page, and Roger (Dreamer) will make a nametag for you if you PM him the information -- boat, color, size, shape and sale price :wink

It is at the Larkspur, and the rooms were blocked out by Linda, for the C-Brats. It's past her deadline, but might still be worth a call, or you may have to call Larkspur direct now. I's check with her first though, ( her contact info is on page 2 or 3 I believe.)

Hope that helps,

Harvey

thank you for your responce. I have already signed up for the event, and since we live about 7 minutes away we don't need a room. Was wondering if the pot luck and swap meet were diffinitive and the times. Are we meeting in the banquet room? Yeah there are alot of threads concerning this event, have read thruogh them but cant find any hard times for Friday night. Will see you there, and thanks again
Chuck
