01/29 - 01/31 - 2010 Seattle Boat Show/C-Brat Convention

Hey Ya'll
Linda called me today to ask if I would get the cattle prod out. the responses have been slow coming. I believe she said that she has 11 rooms reserved so far. I am sure the absence of the Factory party will keep some from attending, but we sure have a great time factory or not.

if you are planning to come to the gathering and need a room call Linda and make the arrangements. Linda has told me that she is going on vacation in Dec. she will leave on the 4th and be gone a couple of weeks so if you call or email durring that time just be patient and leave a message and she will get back to you as soon as possible

hope to see lots of your smilin faces in Seattle

Hey Roger Man!

Be sure to tell Linda to have a safe and wonderful vacation. Mom asked if her, Beth, and Christan were going to be making a visit this spring... :thup :smiled

Thanks for your continued work and help in putting this wonderful C-Brat event together. For those of you who have never been, this is a great time even without going to the boat show or factory party. Just picture a couple nights, few days together with other C-Brats sharing stories, their boat upgrades/changes/ideas, travel maps and ya gotta see this, you can stay over night at this anchorage, be sure to look up these folks when in this area...and the list goes on.

Who is going to do an Alaska inside passage trip this year?
Who is going to Lake Powell this year?
Who is going to make a Cumberland River Cruise this year?
Who is going to the Gulf Coast this year?
Who wants to make a run to the Bahamas this year?
.....you get the idea. Just a blast :smiled :thup :tea :cocktail :beer :clock

Not sure if I will be able to make it, but, I have for sure enjoyed the 3-4 trips for this event that I have made in the past.

GREAT TIME...and thanks again to Roger/SENSEI.

Hi Folks I'm am interested on your views on how a Cdory 25 would do cruising the inland passage. seattle to prince Rupert. I do it now with a regal 2665 express cruiser soft top great boat. but need a hard top. how would it do on Johnstone strait and the queen Charlotte sound.
the other boat that interest me is a sundowner 30 tug any thoughts on these to boats

Well the SBSCBGT is getting closer. Do we have any more specifics? Is there going to be an Argosy cruise? Is the hotel party Friday night? Etc, Etc.

hello there Barry
we have the room at the motel both nights.
the main party is planned for Friday night.
all this is assuming we get enough rooms rented. so far there are only 11 rooms reserved ,I am sure this number will increase as we get nearer but it will definatly take more than that to get the rooms comped to us.

What's your plan for Saturday night in that room? Not another potluck, I assume?

Bummer on the signups for rooms. Hope that is not a harbinger of things to come. Come on guys, keep the tradition alive!

Hey Warren
I figure it will be a place to hang out and socialize on Saturday night. if someone wants to plan something go right ahead.

Hey Gang!

Thanks ROGER/SENSEI for you continued efforts in working the basic foundation work for this event. Just think...few years back now it was just a few of us going to simply stay at the same hotel so we could meet each other. I appreciate your efforts and time.

I have not signed up yet and will not be able to until a few family issues get worked out. I truly hope to make it, and if I can, I will be a last minute add on.

If no more sign up...I do not see it as that big of a deal...we had a blast the first year and just got together in someone's room.

As far as the Argosy Cruise, it is easy and enjoyable. Go in the web site and sign up. Sort of pot luck as to who will be there. Large and small crowds have made it each year, and both have their merits/advantages/disadvantages. If I see I will make it out this year, I would more than likely do the lock and dam cruise again. Each year a different numbers have signed up. yes, it is a bit spendy, but for us who do not get to enjoy the canal and waters of the area...it is just a great way for us to get out on the water. Some of us did meet on the docks for a great lunch prior to the cruise... which left Saturday night open for more hotel fun/factory party or what ever. For the locals who have seen these waters time and time again, and can boat there anytime in their own boats, I can see how this may not be a great deal...other than spending time with fellow C-brats...and not having to worry with being at the helm. Sort of like the Cumberland River cruises...and I do them from time to time, but not very often.

The folks that work the boat show will be dog tired by Saturday night... If they are staying at the same hotel, they may join in for a beverage and "sit down." Their feet will be killilng them. They will be tired of answering....how fast does it go, and about 1,000 other questions...that, at some point in time...we have all wondered and/or asked before we put our money down. Here is to no questions, and the ability to prop your feet up after each day of the show to those working the show!! :beer :beer

Now David/Anna Leigh & New Member Duff: Duff...welcome, and I can see that you are a new member and your first post was responded to in a less than polite manner by David, who really is a great guy... He must have been having one of those days.. and, for sure is someone you need to meet and sit and talk to as he is a guy who has traveled the waters you questioned in a CD25... And...I am glad to see you did not give up on our "friendly" site, and just kept poking around until your found your way to navigate the site. Yall get together and have a nice big ol C-Brat hug & mug. :hug :male :hug2 :beer

Hope to see yall there...

Called Linda 12-22 and made reservations for CBGT at the SBS. Melle Lee and I were there last year and had a ball--------- we now have a boat ........ since we're new Brats, we'll follow any plan for Fri-Sat nights. Look forward to seeing everyone at the Larkspur!!!

Spoke to Linda and made our reservations for friday and Saturday nights (1/29 and 1/30).

Looking forward to seeing everybody!

Take care and have a safe and enjoyable New Year's holiday,
Dan & Tanya

I talked with Linda last night and she has been busy since her return from vacation. she informed me that we are up to 21 rooms reserved now.
We have till the 8th or 9th of Jan. to be assured of rooms. the hotel had blocked out about 35 rooms for us but will release the hold then.
I don't forsee a run on rooms but it would not hurt to reserve early to gaurantee yourself a room.

see ya'll soon
