01/26 - 01/28 - Seattle Boat Show

Grammy-

Go through Linda at the Stanwood Travel Desk or you'll pay about $130 per night for a studio room instead of $75!

Her phone number and address is in an earlier post above.

Joe.

I just purchased airfare for 4 for the SBS. I could not get the room reserved because Linda seems to be away from the office for a few days. Looking forward to the big bash since we had to cancel last year.

Steve

Steve,
yes, Linda is away for a few days. she will return on the 18th and will get back to work...lol...
leave her a email or voice mail and she will get back to you. It is great to see that you will make it this year.

I talked with Linda yesterday and she said that she has booked 11 people so far. it is encouraging to hear this.

OK NOW Ya'll
now that we are fast approaching the end of Oct. and before the holiday season gets going I thought that we should take time to think about the Seattle Boatshow and annual C-Brat Convention/Factory Open House. the date has been set for the first weekend of the show January 26th - 28th.
the friday night party at the motel is quite fun and a good way for owners and owners to be to get together and talk and have a seriously good time. the pot luck hoer-devoirs and drink table are wonderful. as usual, there is never a lack of food at a c-brat gathering....lol.....
I am inserting the post that I put here a month ago with all the pertinate info and hope that you get motivated to contact Linda and get signed up for the Motel. Last year we had 43 rooms reserved and I would like to see us get more than fifty rooms this year so we can have the larger room for the friday night party free of charge.

OK all,
I and Linda finally were able to work things with the Hawthorn Suites. their first price was unacceptable so I had Linda work on them some and she did well, IMHO

here is the Email Linda sent me this morning and so the rates are set and all we need to do is to start booking with Linda at Travel Desk. her contact info is at the end of the message

Hi Roger-how's it going?
I finally heard from the Hawthorn regarding next year's rates. I was able to get the following prices for your group next year (better than it was!)

Studio suite (sleeps 4) $75.00 + tax per night
Townhouse suite (sleeps 6) $85.00+ tax per night

Free meeting room (all 3 spaces) Friday for 50 rooms reserved
Free meeting room (2 spaces like last year) for 30 rooms reserved.

They're only increasing the rooms $6.00 per night for next year--a much better price than anyone else booking by themselves. I think it's fair. I hope the group does too. They DO value and appreciate the C-Dory group--they said it's always a pleasure to have them at their hotel.

Have the group start calling me or e-mailing me with credit cards asap.

I would like a check for $10.00 per booking sent directly to my agency (to eliminate the confusion of running around collecting money at the function).

PS I'm also more than willing to book anyone's air/car for the function !
Thanks, Roger, for your help.

Though we live in Seattle, we're thinking about staying at the hotel the night of the party. However, would like to get a two-fer for our night out, meaning, if C-Dory hosts an event, will that be the same day?

Chubby Bunny-

The C-Brat's own get-together is at the hotel Friday night, and the C-Dory factory's party is on Saturday night on their manufacturing facility.

Joe.

Roger - Patty's email to Linda bounced - here is the bounce message:

I had a chat with Linda today and she informed me that we are up to 17 rooms signed up so far. :thup lets keep thinking and making our plans NOW ya hear. get on the :phone and call her. she won't bite....lol....

Hey Roger and friends... Making airline purchase today.... also sent Linda email for at least Thursday night thru Sunday night at the hotel for one of the Townhouse suite (sleeps 6) $85.00+ tax per night .

Now can not recall... but I think this is set up with two beds in the lower level (or a queen or king) and two single type beds in the loft area. That means to me it sleeps 4....and leaves the couches for folks that just want to sit and watch that last log burn out.

Not sure when Roger Johnson's family is joining him...but I think last year it was on Friday thru Sunday night.... SOOOO>...... what this means is just like last year... I will have room for a couple of folks who may rather split the cost of these nights rather than paying for a room on their own.

Just let me know. Teryy from NY hooked up with me last year...but he found Bonnie this year...along with Padre Bill hooking up with a new lady too....so...there goes my East side roomates.

So this is the annual C-Dory Gathering of the Clan? Sounds like fun, plan on my being there. Please clarify for me, though -- is the hotel you are discussing near the SBS venue or near the factory? If the latter, how far are we from the SBS itself? Is there transportation available from the hotel to the SBS?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Warren

Warren - this is it! The Seattle Boat show / C-Brat Convention! You will definitely need your car, the hotel is not far from either the SBS or the C-dory factory, but it is NOT walking distance...we may pool up of course.

And BTW, I HOPE those of you who came last year to see the Snoqualmie Taproom under construction will make the trek out again to see the finished product and enjoy a brew!

Pat – I was not one that made it last year but would consider it a privilege and honor to do so this year.

It might be a good idea to pick a day and time for those that want to caravan to Snoqualmie - from the hotel it is about 45 minutes away perhaps...
