01/24 - 01/27 - Seattle Boat Show/C-Brat Extravaganza

This afternoon I drove up to Roger's potato shed to deliver the C-Brat Banner to him so he can display it in a prominent location during the myriad of events soon to happen. Until today, I had never seen so many potatos in one place. Roger told me how many tons of potatos were in that half filled shed and I can't remember numbers that high!
Roger, I sure do appreciate all that you are doing to make this CBC a success in the midst of a farmer's busy life! :thup

Brats,

Last minute info on the SBS-CBGT:

Roger (SENSEI)and Patrick(Byrdman), (with a little help from me) have organized the ticket lists and ordered the boat show tickets from the factory. We will have a table in the lobby of the Hawthorne on Friday to greet arriving Brats and deliver tickets. Please stop by and say hi and pick up your tickets. You can also write down your room number (OPTIONAL) so friends can find each other.

FRIDAY NIGHT PARTY:
The party starts at 7:30 and runs till??
You can bring pot luck food and your choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages. There will be a sign-in table with name badges and a donation box to help pay for the party.

SATURDAY NIGHT FACTORY PARTY:
The factory doors will open at 6:00 PM with hors d'oeuvres till 7:30 at which time Dinner will be served. A map to the factory location in Auburn can be found on the C-Dory website. No reservation is needed for the factory party.

We thank the C-Dory factory for their donation of Boat Show Tickets and for hosting us at their factory open house on Saturday night.

It's going to be great!! LET'S PARTY!!

We are coming down from Anacortes Friday morning and going directly to Alaskan Way in Seattle for the lock cruise. After that we will be heading to the hotel and the potluck that evening. I only mention this because we won't be there to get our tickets until Friday late afternoon.

Thanks.

Here is a cut and paste of a message I received from C-Dory today:

Hi Pat,

I got your email address from the ‘brewery’ website. Hope you don’t mind.

Scot has been absolutely swamped with business so I’m taking this upon myself to ‘spread the word’. He was going to help me make a post on the C-Brats site, but hasn’t had time.

News that needs to get out to the Brats:

The Factory party: Check in begins at 6:00 p.m. Appetizers/social hour 6:30-7:30. dinner at 7:30.

The theme this year is Mardi Gras. Folks may come ‘dressed in costume’ if they would like. Please call me if you have any further questions.

Roger(Dreamer),

Folks have traditionally brought a wide variety of snacks/dinner/dessert dishes to the gatherings.

I think people should bring what they think is appropriate.

Au contraire! The finest root beer in the world comes from the Snoqualmie Brewing Company, Pat Anderson Da Prez. Of Course I'm biased about that too.

Marty - he did say the finest root beer he had ever tried. Perhaps he (like me) has never had the Snoqualmie Falls Brewing company root beer.

Roger- You are of course correct again!. I apologize to CW, who is, by the way, one of my favorite writers and a gifted storyteller. However, where was I? Oh yeah, like corned beef, root beer really pushes my buttons. I'm sure you all can identify with that. How many Rogers are there in C-Brats anyway? (...not that there's anything wrong with that..)

Yes, C-Hawk...(C-halk) Roger....but I think they mean Rogers that really have a C-Dory.... not ones with mythical boats on order...

I hope everyone will give a big and warm welcome to Darlene and Bob York who will be attending the Seattle Boat show and Extravaganza at the C-Brat plant this weekend. Bob and Darlene have just bought our (Merv - Grumpy & Kathy - Grammy) 22' C-Dory Kingfisher and are very excited about meeting everyone. They have reservations at Hawthorne Suites for both Friday and Saturday night. I hope you will take them under your wings in true C-dory fashion and welcome them to the group.

Sadly, both Merv and I are all and will not be able to attned. We have been stricken with the deadly flu and are slowly wading through it. We will be with you in thought and spirit. :)

All,
Sounds like you are all going to have a great time - enjoy!. While at the SBS, check out our new boat (the green one at Ranger).

take care,
Tim
