01/24 - 01/27 - Seattle Boat Show/C-Brat Extravaganza

We were bursting at the seams last year at the factory dinner -- standing room only! -- Jim in TX, maybe you can take 20# off each of us so we'll all be able to fit into the factory for the wonderful feast in January -- I'll volunteer to be first :smile

I wish we would have known sooner that you two were going! I could have talked Cathy into going if she knew you two were going to be there.

ARGOSY LOCK & DAM CRUISE FOR SEATTLE BOAT SHOW C-BRAT GATHERING INFORMATION:

Things change each year. This is a great and fun event for about 3 hours on Friday afternoon prior to the Friday Night "Cover Dish" party at the hotel. I think about 30 folks made this last year.

No mention of discount for registering on line early. So, I called and talked with the fast talking young lady chewing gum in my ear indicating she had worked there for years.... and bottom line, we can get discounts for groups, but someone has to be the point person for this (and I am not volunteering for this...sounds like a job) ...and their POC was not there today.... She recommended we all go ahead and register now. I commented these tickest are non refundable, and mine were $62.50, and there was no insentive to lay out my money early...other than having it all done. Her response: Well...it might sell out. My response: Well, for the last 3-4 years it has been our group and about 10 other folks on board the boat and/or bus. I do not think so....

Bottom line: I registered on line and have it done. I look forward to joining any and all other C-Brats who have done this in years past and had a good time. Not sure I would not wait until a few days prior to make your reservations, and/or even waiting until the morning of the trip. You get a confirmation number on line immediately after hitting the pay button. Print it, take that number with you. I do not recall them being over proficient at processing folks that day...

Byrdman-

I signed up for the cruise as you instructed, but I think we have a problem.

You stated that we are going on Friday, before the party at the hotel.

When I filled in the January 26, 2008 date you listed, I got Saturday, instead, which is indeed the correct day of the week for the 26th.

Are we going on Friday or Saturday?

I know it's probably just a minor error, but want to know for sure before I call them and rearrange the reservation.

Joe. :teeth :thup

BINGO! YOU GUYS GET AN EXTRA COOKIE TONIGHT!! My BAD!!

THANKS!!

That happens when ya drop down the month gizmo and do not drop down the year gizmo to 2008 from 2007.

CORRECT DATE/DAY FOR 2008.....drum roll please.....

is Friday, 25th....1pm.... at that dock time.
and as the text indicates, just prior to our Friday night social time at the hotel. I think we wrap up around 4pm which generally gives us a couple of hours to get back to the hotel before the fun starts again.

Last year several of us had lunch at one of the food joints right beside where the shop for the tickets on the waters edge...just another C-Brat fun time... I think we roamed from the table to the ticket shop about 30 minutes prior to 1pm...and some of us even got our tickets in hand prior to the lunch.

Again... allow some time. The ticket show is artsy...not fast.

HELPING SENSEI track folks coming to the hotel and needing/getting the boat show passes. When booking room reservations with Linda, please ensure to add YOUR BOAT'S NAME to your information. Remember, privacy is always protected on our C-Brat site and that is a great thing. However, when we attempt to help all those showing up at an event (i.e. having your boat show tickets at the hotel desk or will call ticket window for you).... we must realize that we have to connect the dots between someone's real name, the boat name, the screen name/member name on the C-Brat site.

So far, we are hitting about 50%...or maybe those 50% do not want boat show tickets??

Here are the boats and names we can marry up with hotel rooms at this time...

ANNA LEIGH
CAPTAINS CAT
C-BYRD
C-PEARL
DAYDREAM
DREAMER
FALCON
FISHTAIL
GRIZLY
KINGFISHER
O B JOYFUL
RAVEN DANCER
R-MATEY
STRAITSLEEP
TRAVELER

Soon, we will start putting together the boat name and the ticket envelopes. Please realize that Roger and I are cross country from each other, and our time together prior to when most folks start arriving at the hotel on 24Jan08 is VERY...VERY limited... and..we want to be able to have as much fun a possible too!! Add to this, that we do not know exactly when we will get the tickets in our little ol hands...so we have to be as prepared as possbile.

SO... If you have hotel reservations, and your boat name is not listed above, and want us to attempt to have you a boat show ticket, then please send me (BYRDMAN) or Roger Johnson (SENSEI) a PM with your real name, and your boat name, and your C-Brat name...and that would greatly help us help you.

Truly look forward to seein my C-Brat friends and all the fun together around this annual event!!

due to a Boeing function accross the drive from the Motel, the availability of rooms is dwindling fast. They have informed us that they will only hold the rooms we have asked for that are noy secured with a credit card for a short time before they give them to Boeing. so if you need a room ,please get hold of Linda ASAP to insure yourself of a room.
