Pat and Patti, if you buy a new C-Tug, can I have the "old" Daydream? I'll figure out a way to make it tax deductable.... 8)

Ptbbttttt! I already have first dibs, Charlie. On top of that, Pat and I share the same last name AND it isn't a taxable event if transferred between family members. Let the IRS prove we aren't related. :thup :thup

West Marine Stores (at least in Seattle area) are handing out $2 off vouchers for entry to the SBS. Of course we all know how hard it is to visit the store and not spend a lot more than $2.- but it's worth a try !!

When I left the C-Dory booth yesterday Pat and Patty were in heavy discussion doing some number crunching. So I was wondering if they bit the bullet!

Looks like they may need to think about upgrading the Expedition too! I can't see going down their hill with the C-Ranger behind that little SUV! Stopping that much weight aint no picnic!

I truly enjoyed the SBS yesterday. I took my son Justin and we crawled all over several fishing boats. Looked at the 28' AlumaTug. Very nice design but as my son put it "I can weld better than that dad". It was also VERY SPENDY at close to 200K.

I really liked the way the Skagit Orca made their front Dinette seat reversible. I may have to modify mine that way. I've been thinking of removing the doors to the V-Berth anyway.

I also went on Friday after work for a couple hours. I got the chance to talk to a few people about Navigation systems and what not. One of the things I found out about is that Raymarine is coming out with a new product called Raytech 6.0 sometime in February or March. This is a software package that can tie into the E-80 system. It will allow you to run all the functions of the E-80 on a laptop/pc. This is great for me as I want to have a remote system on the back of the cabin for my soon to be rear helm station. Now I will be able to put an E-80 in front and a small 8" Touchscreen monitor at my rear helm station for far less than a second E-80. Just what I was hoping to be able to do! And I might even be able to do away with getting the E-80 (I still have to find that out) and use 2 monitors on the one PC. I could of course go that route with Nobeltec but their sounder box makes that very expensive and it is not as good as the Raymarine DS300.

Not so fast Don or Charlie either, Pat's long lost brother from the old country here. We'll just keep it in the family...

Ole

You don't happen to drive one 'a them diesel trucks with a bulletproof Cummins inside a Yugo body do ya, Ole? Or maybe yer the type to hang out being grogarious at the "Hen House" the "Red Rock" or the "Wonderland" miles and miles from decent saltwater boating, 'cause ya sure don't sound like a true Svenske.

Methinks we'll all be disappointed this season anyway, unless Oscar has a vote.

I'm flying in on Wednesday, off to Vashon...i plan to come to the boat show on Friday, and then go to the party that night at Hawthorn Suites. Is that still on? I'll assume so and just show up.

Look forward to seeing everyone.

If the banjo isn't confiscated, i'll have it.

terraplane tom

Yes, the party on Friday at Hawthorne Suites is still ON, as is the party on Saturday at the C-Dory factory, you are planning on coming to both, correct? I will be crushed if TSA confiscates the banjo. This time I PROMISE to stay awake!!!!

P.S. - at the moment I am under a gag order, and can neither confirm nor deny certain information being circulated - but as far as my parents know, I DO NOT have a brother named "Ole" - although in their present condition, I would not take their word for it...

Hello to the lucky C-Brats and C-Dogs at the SBS,

It's great to see everyone having so much fun, and I appreciate seeing so many friendly faces in the new SBS 06 Album, but would it be possible to post some pictures of THE BOATS you keep talking about?????I'll get my 5 hours of SBS on Friday, but many can't come at all. Please help us out!

Bob Cat

Charlie,

In music circles, (like the viola in classical music) there are tons of jokes about the banjo. In this case, confiscation might be because some aggressive inspector would see the banjo as a WMD.

However, i am assuming that it will pass through, and i will be able to inflict my musical damage on those who wish to listen in Seattle...

Look forward to seeing you, and i agree about name tags..

Pat, I think he's referring to an earlier mail of mine that recommendec name tags (stick on variety) for the Friday night and Saturday shindigs. Would help us right coasters recognize youse guys and also help us remember who we are....we have periodic problems iwth that...

Tom I don't think of a banjo as a WMD, at least not in your hands. But in others.... I'm not so sure... :cry

I agree, would like to see some pics!
I am dragging the wife and kid and a C-Dory wana owner up and will arrive at Hawthorne suites Thursday night.
I haven't heard anything about comp tickets yet and may have to go ahead and buy online if I can find the link.
I hope there are some deals left for the last day and that folks don't get the bug to tear down early as Friday will be my only day to go.
Looking forward to both parties. The wife wasn't very excited about me making the Tuna Toasties but she is spoiled and gets them all the time. I told here there would be lots of things beside what we bring and welcomed her making something else to take.
How late do we think the party at the plant on Saturday is going to go?

Ray / Mr. Fisherman-

I think Roger has complimentary Boat Show tickets and they can be gotten from him Thursday night or Friday morning at the motel. At least I'm planning on picking one up Friday morning since I won't be arriving until later Thursday night. Let me know, Roger, if this in incorrect. Joe.

I'm sure there will be lotsa pix as soon as folks have time to get back on the site and do the downloads. Hard to do that and drool over boats at the same time... I'll post some next week when I get back or early in the morning when I'm there since I'll be waking up at 4AM because of the time change.

Charlie

Ray/Mr. Fisherman: Byrdman here.

#1- Roger Johnson/SENSEI and I will be at the hotel...(see above for name) on Wednesday night and have the passes. We will post Roger's Room Number at the desk for C-Dory folks.

#2- Roger will remain at the hotel on Thursday and Thursday night too. I will punch out during the day some time and go to the airport and pick up Terry. Then, after checking in maybe go back to the show...then later have a "Thursday-Pre-Friday Night Practice Party" with those at the hotel. Should be me, Roger, Terry, El & Bill, Captain's Choice, and Chris. May be more...I am not sure.

#3 - Friday, the show closes at 6pm, and again, Roger will be haning about the hotel area.

#4 - Friday night.... gathering/party in the hotel confence room in the lobby area starting "6 - 6:30 ish....", and again...some may be in the area a bit earlier too.

#5 - Saturday Factory Party: 6:30pm as scheduled now. For ball game time see TV guide and if earlier than the factory party, we can either gather in someone's room or possibly the conference room again. We will check this out on Wednesday for the ball game..
