01/13 - 01/15 - Seattle Boat Show/C-Brat Convention

WOW Mr Fisherman,

That is a bunch of timber down at your house, way more than a case of T.P. from TyBoo Mikes mill but it does look like you've been lucky with nothing on the Sea Lion our your house so we'll keep you in our thoughts to get through this OK.

Tim

Well the excitment is gone! We won't be able to make the trip since Karen became ill.

We may be doing a Washington trip in the early summer. I'll just have to wait till then to come up.

Have fun,
Steve and Karen

Ray-

Sorry to hear about and see your damage! Looks like the soil really let loose.

Hope you're able to make it up the the get-together anyway, if at all possible.

I was really looking forward to meeting you in person!

We'll be thinking of you and hoping for the best!

Good Luck!

Joe.

HOTEL AND PARTY INFO: Roger and I are here. We have pleanty of 16oz dixie cups, chinet paper plates, plastic forks, knives and spoons. If anyone is bringing something that needs to be served in bowls, ya need to bring the bowls. We have some folks that are bringing some brew, some folks bringing some wines, but the amounts are unknown till they arrive...so, ya may want to bring some of your favorite bevereges with you for the Friday night party. Also, some 2 liter cokes, sprites and such may also be nice ....as wood a couple bags of ice. Ice makers are in the refrigerators...but they like ours have to be turned on....and do not have ice on hand upon arrival. There is both a convience store and Wendy's hamburger business on location that requires no driving.

Fire logs for the fireplaces are/were available at the front desk for $5 each. Costco had them for about $16 for a case of 9. The hotel will be full due to boat show, football and some type of pilot event...and I think they ran out of logs last year...

I said no more till Seattle but it turns out I've got two hours between planes at Dallas/Ft Worth and the Mcdonalds has a wi-fi connection, so here I am. Be there about 450 Seattle time, then straight to the motel. Anyone up for dinner tonite?

Charlie

Well, I gotta tell you... Trees are expensive. I am in the wrong business.
We are not going to be able to make it and I just called to cancell our room.
I want you all to take lots of pictures. I am bummed about this one.
Enjoy the party and make sure to share it with all of us.

Hopefully there's someplace to plug in a crockpot...meatballs 'n' BBQ sauce (I'll keep the hot bbq sauce on the side for those who dare), and I picked up a couple packages of rolls at Costco this afternoon. I also have some plastic plates -- looked for hors d'hoeurve (sp?) picks, but couldn't find any...I c u have utensils...that's great! I made some snickerdoodles but don't know if they'll survive the car ride with Steve :smileo The only saving factor is he won't have a microwave to warm them and make them soft on the trip up :thup

Wish my chain saws and I were closer and could lend a hand. When Hurricane Isabel hit us here, my neighbor (who has a big truck) and I were the most popular guys on our street. We did a lot of work gratis and it really brought the whole neighborhood together. Good luck with that tree and the clean up.
All the best,

I was in Charleston S.C. when Hugh hit in 1990. We could not work in the ammo magazines so we ended up cutting down trees and packing up families in the navies base housing. Most of the crew was from large cities and had no Idea how to start a chain saw let along use one. Three of us did most of the cutting for a week. It was just like home putting up wood for the winter. Sorry I will not see you at the show. One day we will meet and lie into the early morning about the fish we swore we caught.

Hey Pat -

Depending on how things work out, we may like to take you up the offer to tour the Brewery & visit the Falls. Is the offer still good? We'd probably drive there directly from here (Whidbey) before the Factory Event - could we get directions & timing?

Thanks
Mac

The offer is still good. David will be at the brewery as well (slaving away before he heads out to Hawaii) between 10:00 am and maybe 2:00 - 3:00 pm. We will be staying at the Hawthorne Suites, so I am thinking we form a caravan to head to Snoqualmie from the Hawthorne Suites sometime around 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning. People can hook up to hitch rides if necessary. We can do the brewery and Falls, and then I'll deliver the keg to the factory and head back to the hotel. Other folks can head back to the hotel or wherever...so long as we get there in time to hunker down in front of the boob tube to watch the Seahawks kick a little Skins butt!!!! (Sorry, Charlie, I just can't help it!)

What can us noob's bring? We were thinking some Fat Tire and finger foods? It was very nice meeting Fred and Robin last Saturday.

On Saturday at the factory, that is.

The 25 houseboat is in our horizons.

Brats, Captain's Choice is here at the Hawthorne Suites in 1403. Anyone thirsty, come on by, I'll be up until about 11 and then crash heavily...

Mac,

Pat gave you the timing part but not the directions part.

Go to www.fallsbrew.com and there are directions on our site to get there.

If that fails. Try this. Get to beautiful downtown Snoqualmie, Exit 25 from I-90 (Snoqualmie Parkway, to 3.2 miles, turn right on SR 202 at the end of the Parkway, left on King Street (opposite the historical train depot and Smokey Joe's Tavern), immediately right on Falls Avenue, and you are there. Big metal building, go into parking lot and up loading dock stairs.

Do not speed more than 7.7 MPH over the speed limit on the Parkway. We have more cops per capita in Snoqualmie than any city in the state and that is no joke.

8032 Falls Ave SE. 425 8331 BEER (2337).

Looking forward to seeing you and all the rest there.

Ouch, that hurt. Bring that and I can't vouch for how your tires might be when you go to leave.

Looking forward to meeting you.

I was going to comment about the Flat Tire and decided to leave it alone...Lets just see if we can win a new convert here!!! [ON EDIT: looks like he has already met our beer, yes, sake would be a better choice from our perspective!!]
