I’ll be using this as a starting point for the first leg of my inside passage trip to Ketchikan on the advice of SleepyC. I’m looking forward to meeting you all and learning as much as I can from some experienced C-brats. 1) boat name: Geturah, 22’, 2 people and 1 dog (Joel, Starr, and...

    Inside Passage trip

Bob Austin. I was born and raised in southeast Alaska. I do know how beautiful it is up there. I plan on doing Alaska in legs. Bellingham to Ketchikan will be my fist leg. For the first leg, my only passenger will be my dog. Looking for a partner just in case, for that first and longest stretch.

    Inside Passage trip

Hello everyone. I am planning to take the inside passage from Bellingham to Ketchikan around mid-May. I was wondering if there is anyone else out there thinking about making the trip during that time period? If so, let me know and we could talk about partnering up. I’ve made the trip several...

    Stationary kicker bracket

Has anyone used the Garelick 71074 stationary kicker bracket for clearance issues with Bennett 120 trim tabs. I have an 8hp Yamaha long shaft mounted on the port side. I know many people use the mini hacker, but I’m just looking at alternatives. Thanks in advance.

Since I'm piecing the autopilot together, I was wondering if anyone knew whether the button that comes with the kit...

I'm looking into a remote steering system for my kicker motor. I don't need a full autopilot system. Has anyone used the Panther Marine system or intellisteer? Those were just a couple of the systems I found online. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks

Steering with twin engines: Differential Throttle Control

Foggy No disrespect meant. I'm new to the c-brats forum, but I thought this was a discussion on the topic of maneuvering with twin engines? I understand it may be boring for you to read about different maneuvering techniques, but I'm sure most of the people reading this thread would disagree...

Steering with twin engines: Differential Throttle Control

Does anyone know the technique called "walking" The vessel? It is a simple technique used mostly with conventional twin screw tugboat. As captain of a tugboat, I use this technique whenever I am in a tight spot. Walking the vessel refers to moving the vessel perpendicular from its fore and aft...
