    new windlass for Traveler

The old sprint lewmar 600 vertical windlass finally striped gears which are no longer available. Does anyone have recommendations for a new one. I think I'd like to go horizontal and bigger this time and be able to cover the old mounting hole if possible. Recommendations appreciated. Tom

New member, researching C25 and V26

The previous posts do a good job of describing our boats. I moved from a 32" PDQ catamaran to a CD25. It was a good choice for us. We do the same 6 knots on the same fuel burn (6 knots per gallon) as the catamaran. No longer worry about bridges or tight anchorages, and the CD is a lot less...

We are currently on the Rideau at Smith Falls. We started at Illion NY and are about 200 miles into an 800 mile loop which will take us to Ottawa, near Montreal, and then down thru Lake Champlain back to the Erie and west to Illion. The Rideau is beautiful and the locks and lock workers are...

To All, We will be in Louisville until about July 15 or so. We will then head to Norwich to spend a day or two with Marlyn's mother. From there we will head to Rich's, I'm guessing about July 20, but our plans can be flexible if we need to accommodate other's schedules. We will post and...

    Parking near the Erie Canal

Does anyone know of extended parking for a truck and trailer while we cruise the Erie canal and possibly into Canada. We are looking for something near Whitehall or Seneca Lake, but any good place along the Erie might be acceptable. Seneca Lake now charges $7 per day and a private marina is...
