    Table Cover and Flooring Options

Photos tiles are pretty cool for the table, and easy to do. Take a pic of your boat and order the tiles online.

    We're still kicking

Haven't checked in here in a long time. We're still alive and kicking, still boatless. Probably will remain so for the foreseeable future, fishing here being cut back so much. Hope everyone is having fun and being safe. Cheers, Rick

    Sequim and boating areas

Right along the outside of Ediz Hook in PA is good for kings, the yellow PA buoy eastward to about the tip of the hook for silvers. This is about 5 miles out from the hook. Most folks troll for salmon, but plenty of guys mooch or jig. Can't make it for dinner, but I'm sure you'll get some good...

    "River Horse"

You're bang on, Pat. I'll be blunt: I'd say the book is just plain awful but I didn't make it very far into the book for the very reasons Pat mentioned. It's like the guy's goal is to show you how many obscure words he can use. On second thought, I'll say it. It is just plain awful.

    installing downrigger

I used a backing plate of 3/4" plywood and through bolted with large washers. I strongly recommend swivel mounts, they're far easier and safer than the fixed mounts. Rick

    Underwater egress, Coast Guard Training

I've many a ride in the 9D5 dunker. We used to have to do it every 4 years (for helicopter aircrew) but they changed it some years ago to a 6 year interval. Great fun. Rick

    anyone ever use this system?

We did it just as Jack describes but we never adjusted the line length because we always fished for halibut in 80-100 feet of water in Kodiak. We kept the line and anchor in a plastic laundry basket in the cockpit. There was no need to go fwd. Just drop the anchor over the side from the cockpit...
