    C-Dory 25 Repowering to Honda 140 Recommendations

You all are getting 5mpg at 20 mph? I'm getting about half that on my 2007 25' c-dory with a Honda 130. What am I doing wrong?

    Thataway sighting!!!

I'm a big fan of Bob Austin and his former boat, Thataway. His advice, either directly to me, or indirectly through others, has been immensely helpful to me. Anyway, I'm up here in Bellingham, WA, about as far away from from Pensacoloa as you can get in the lower 48. This afternoon, I was...

Like a high end c dory seen at FLIPS

I've seen other makes and models of boat that have sleeping arrangements like that. The Swedish built Albin 25 has two berths like that in the aft cabin. And, if you have to ask who would sleep in a berth like that, then you have never gone boating with kids! My two kids would fight over who got...

This dinghy fits in the cockpit on a CD25 & is easy to l

Gererally, I agree with this. However, sometimes it's nice to just be able to toss it the cockpit without having to go through the trouble of stowing up to and strapping it down. Making a run from camp on Sucia for a day trip to Patos, for example.

22 cruiser - no bow pulpit rail?

Several years ago I "temporarily" took off my bow pulpit because some of the stanchions were leaking into the v-berth where they screwed onto the deck. I plugged the holes with epoxy...and that's where I stopped. I was planning on putting the pulpit back on (using the method that Bob, above...

1981 CDory 22 for sale (Not mine) Found on FB Marketplace

I'd be tempted if I were a young, poor man with a heated garage and a bit of time to kill over the winter.

    Bellingham WA Craigslist C-Dory 25ft

I just saw this pop up on the Bellingham, WA Craigslist. Newer 25, could be a good deal for someone with a bit of $$. https://bellingham.craigslist.org/boa/d ... 03704.html

You should definitely try it, it's the most expensive method ever devised for eating shrimp.

    New high (low?) for C-Dorys?

The boat mentioned in the OP is not not the C-Hawk.

Hopefully it will correspond with a shrimp opener!

    New high (low?) for C-Dorys?

Well, I guess I'm the only one taken aback by the asking price. As a recent owner of a 1982 C-dory, I've watched the market carefully over the years and have never seen one of that vintage offered for near that price. Those boats have no gas tanks, no shore-power, no sink, no fridge, no stove...

    New high (low?) for C-Dorys?

I understand that C-Dorys are desireable and that there is inflation, but this seems beyond the pale to me. A quick look at what's for sale, and has been for sale, on this site and one can find much better deals on much newer boats. For example: "2003 C Dory 22 for sale asking $25K. Has 2020...

    New high (low?) for C-Dorys?

I noticed this weekend that someone posted a 1983 C-Dory, with a 2014 70 HP Yamaha, for sale for 35K. I don't think I've ever seen a C-Dory that old, even with a newer engine (it would almost have to be), listed for that kind of price. Seems crazy to me. A brand new Yamaha 70 hp can be had for...

No 22 to 25 foot boat is going to thrive in 4 foot waves.

    THANK YOU DR. BOB

When I read, "One of our most prolific members - 'Thataway' has just passed..." my heart sunk too. Probably could have been worded a bit differently!
