I have had the same problem with S-1000 veering to the right while cruising at about 20 mph. Trolling is also difficult because of the speed with and against the current.

I have twin 50 bigfoots on my CD-22 and have had no problems, they start easy and run quiet. I have been in 18 " of water with out any problem of overheating. Put 93 hrs on them last year and I"m hoping for 293 hrs. this year.

I am also with progressive, my2006 CD-22 insured for $63,000 $366.00 a year. Includes down riggers, rods,tackle and electronics.

I was always told to leave the motors in the down position, the the weight is on the transom. The weight of the motors in the upright position is not good on the transom when the trailer bounces.

Before you take delivery check the boat out with a fine tooth comb,I wish I would have. My CD-22 was paid for before I took delivery,after taking delivery I discovered approximately 30 % of the bottom of the boat was not painted properly, also some shipping damaged to the gelcoat on the sides...

The hydraulic steering from the factory will not handle twin engines. I don"t know why they do not list that on there web site, I recieved that info right from the factory when ordering my 2006 CD-22. I upgraded the steering when I purchased the boat, I knew that twins were going on.
