Another trick that worked for us was to toss a small mushroom anchor (that we had for our dinghy) off the stern. An added complication with two lines in the water, but it did slow down the sailing.

Morning, We purchased this 93 C-Dory 19 Angler last week. Quite a difference from our CD 16 Angler. Still working on a new name.

We have both when we are cruising to give us coverage regardless of location. In Maryland, both are highly respected, but we have gone with Boat US.
