    Another Master Marine salesman gone

I thought that those of you who were at the Friday Harbor gathering and/or Bellingham might like to know that Rob, the salesman from Master Marine, no longer works there. Rob worked with me to get some repairs done on Sea Coaster that were needed due to installation errors. He also saw to it...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

Sunday Oct. 19th I spent about 4 hours at the Bayside Marina with Sea Coaster on a rack. I had a Seattle metal shop make 4" x 7" plates to add strength to my cleats in case of being towed or towing. A fellow CG Aux member brought his drill and knowledge and now all 5 cleats have metal plates...

    Summer Trip

The photos indicate a great trip to beautiful places and the timing seemed ideal. Have you been up there before? I hope to go to those areas sometime in the future. Thanks for sharing! Anne

    Fatal Boat Crash

I am always amazed when I hear engines roaring on Lake WA when it is dark. I believe the law in Indiana was (is?) the speed could not be in excess of 5 mph or "no wake." That makes so much sense to me on a lake, including one the size of Lake WA. Are there laws about speed after dark anywhere...

Operational Facility use for CG Auxiliary

Sea Coaster (22 ft) is likely going to become an OF at some point and I am wondering what others have done to strengthen the towing capabilities? (Interestingly I was asked to tow a sailboat in Anacortes Saturday into the marina since the motor was down. I declined) I belong to the Edmonds group...

    Everett to Sj's and back

I was signed up and itching to go to Sequim, but the small craft warning, email from Ruth about the wind at Port Townsend, and then a phone call with fog info gave me pause, so I stayed home Friday. Sat I headed up to Anacortes in great weather looking for Oracle. I found her, but at the dock...

    Oracle Speaks

Has anyone seen this boat on the water yet? I keep wondering how often it has been out/will be out. I believe a Seattle paper reported this was the last weekend...and I would love to find out how hard it is to find the boat on the water! Anne

    Oracle Speaks

I have a sudden desire, make that need, to spend a few days in the Anacortes area watching for this incredible sailing beauty! I checked the website and didn't find much except they expect to be in the area till sometime around the middle of the month. Anyone heading up to check this out? Anne

08/17 - Gulf Islands, Part Two

What a super trip!!! :D :D :D C-Brats are the best, and thanks to all for your wisdom and help, especially those who figured out why I was adrift out in the bay near Cowichan, with no power  After being escorted by Jim and Joe (on Endurance) into Genoa Bay the C-Brats team, esp. Fred...

Moving - Anyone familiar with Lake Pend Oreille in Idaho

My kids and I used to camp there. It is a fairly large lake with lots of wild areas, not overpopulated at all. I often dreamt of retiring in that area. And there is always Flathead Lake in Montana, another beautiful area, Priest Lake, Lake Coeur d'Alene etc. If you liked SE you will like where...

The Cruising Adventures of Wild Blue and crew...

Hi, I have enjoyed your posts since I joined and admire your integrity. I am not on my boat as much as I had expected and you are most welcome to use SEA COASTER :D I am using it August 15th-23rd at the longest and except for that am totally flexible. If you would help me learn more about using...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

The variety of ships, boats, etc. was interesting, and while helping out on a Coast Guard Auxiliary boat I noticed a 16', a 22' and a 24' C-Dory as well as a Ranger 25. I rode on a comfortable large older boat and appreciate simple things such as the grab bar on our boats even more. It is fun...

Ready to Buy - New vs. Used?

If you are handy and like to work on projects including installing items, new might be appealing. Hopefully you will find other C-Brats where you live that like to tinker! I purchased new and have spent a ton of $ buying equipment and then paying to have it installed. I am always amazed at the...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

In addition to C Dancer and Lizzie I saw a blue C-Dory in the yard at Bayside Marine waiting for service apparently. I believe the state tag was Ohio?...also saw another blue C-Dory docked near the restaurant with her name in red letters...Jenny ? And I waved at a couple (owner or possibly...

WA State Marine Park camping this weekend?

It sounds like the hot weather is almost here. Is anyone going to be camping at a WA state marine park this weekend or over the 4th? Gus and I are thinking of heading out. Anne Cox
