Greg:
Was the ice cream "Blue Belle" or "Blue bell"? If the latter, then you had the good fortune to enjoy the "National" ice cream of Texas :D

I thought of sending you a pm so as not to hijack the thread- but on second thoughts I decided a public response was worth it since others may have an interest in this area. Let me also state that my answer pertains only to the Houston-Galveston area; I have no knowledge of New...

You can put the fan anywhere in the cabin. It has a flat base and is very stable. To ventilate the berth, I would just put it on the cabin floor, or put it on the table and aim it down. It may be too much fan to use at night- Dr. Bob's suggestions may work better.
If you are going to...
Dave:
I am going to offer a different point of view.
After I got the Tomcat, I went through the same exercise that you are going through, trying to decide on the best A/C system. While I was considering my options, I bought a Lasko Pro Performance Blower fan to "make do". The fan costs less...
I just wanted to thank you all...you came through, as usual.
Jim and others- you were right. There is a piece of plastic that protrudes from the sender unit on the right side of the motor near the hydraulic cylinder piston that is broken. It is not the piece that is about 3 " long; it is a...
I have twin Suzuki 150s on my Tomcat.
The tilt and trim indicator for the port motor quit working today- it is in the "off" position (needle fully up).
Is there any simple troubleshooting that I can check for, such as a blown fuse?
Thanks!
Twin counter-rotating Suzuki 150s.
Top speed 45 mph with full gas, water, and bottom paint.
After adding a bimini, Permatrims, and the usual stuff that collects on a boat, top speed is 43 mph.

I am not familiar with the fuel tank on the R-21, so this post may be totally irrevelant. In addition, you may have already thought of and taken the steps I am recommending. However, since there were no volunteers willing to discuss the issue, I thought I would throw in my two bits.
It...
Our holding tank has mysteriously filled up twice without being used. I assumed that this was becasue of a small water leak into the bowl from a pressurized system. We now make sure to depressurize the system after use and the problem has not recurred.
How can a bad pump fill up the holding...
The self-parking mechanism on my starboard windshield wiper has stopped functioning. When I switch the wiper off, it stops at random (usually in the middle of the field of view) instead of finishing the swipe and stopping on the right side.
I would appreciate suggestions on how to troubleshoot...
Some people have drained the anchor locker by attaching a tube between the drain holes in the anchor locker and the drain holes to the outside in the port and starboard lockers. This keeps water out of the port and starboard lockers.
I have not done this and have had no problems with mildew or...
Matt- a minor point:
In my single engine trawler with a large fixed prop and no rudder effect while in reverse in low speed, prop walk was a significant and useful tool while docking.
With outboards, I have the ability to swivel the motors, so I don't need to even think about prop walk to make...
My conter-rotating prop is on the starboard side (set up by Wefing's marine). The prop walk effect is clearly minor; the stern moves in the expected direction in forward and reverse with one engine in gear even at low speeds.
Mike:
Try "Liquid Rollers" (its also mentioned in the posts above on this thread). I believe West Marine carries it. Once the window is open, apply it liberally to the "fuzzy stuff in the window slot".
I called Diamond Sea Glaze at 800-770-0455 and talked to a very helpful person named Gordon.
He said to go to the web site (www.diamondseaglaze.com) -> Products --> Windows --> medium duty --> D15 sliding window.
This has pictures with details of the construction.
As per Gordon (and Boris...
I have Suzukis and you have Hondas, and I have a Tomcat- so I am showing my ignorance here...But I am curious. Why are the motors not coming out of the water?
The Suzukis have a limiting cam. If not set all the way up, the motors will not come completely out of the water. Are the Hondas...
Thank you all for your suggestions.
I have subsequently talked to the dealer. He suggested calling Diamond Seaglaze directly. I think that is the best first step. I will try to do so tomorrow.
If I obtain any useful information, I will post it here.
