Thanks for the input. I run my anchor windlass off the start battery for the same reason, so it would make sense to do the same thing with the electric downriggers. Are you running a cranking battery for your house battery, or do you run 2 deep cycles?

This is exactly what my Wallas did yesterday. I also found that the voltage was very low, so I put in a new house battery. After that, I ran the stove for good hour with no problems. Hopefully that the end of the CO issue...

Over the past couple of weeks I've gotten the C Dory ready for spring. This morning I ran the Wallas and it resulted in the Carbon Monoxide detector sounding. The Wallas otherwise seems to be operating correctly. Has anyone seen out there had this same problem?

For the past couple of years we've been towing our 22' Cruiser with transom straps securing the boat to the trailer. Over the weekend I noticed that the straps seem to be causing some wear on the gelcoat where they contact the hull. Has anyone else seen this in wear pattern? We're thinking of...
