Think Good Thoughts for Patty, Please

I know that all of us here on the Chesapeake are thinking of you guys. Please give Patti our best. I still have that wonderful picture of the two of you picking Chesapeake blue crabs at our first gathering. I'm having fried local oysters tonight..I'll drink a toast to the two of you. Tom...

    Ranger 25'/Dealer

I am especially tuned to Bob's point about the speed of time passing...I just rolled into 70! Unbelieveable to me. I am only 32! I realize that boating time is finite...of course, runnning down the Bay at 90 would be grand. Re: the 110. The 25 I am looking at is equipped with the 110 Yanmar...

    Ranger 25'/Dealer

I am looking at a Ranger...hull somewhere in the late 40's....110 Yanmar FWC...Have the kinks been ironed out of the Yanmar? I believe the wiring problems have been taken care of in this edition. I plan to talk with Jeff about the boat. terraplane

    New C-Dory Owner

Another plug for Wallas. Here on Chesapeake we don't get the Alaska weather, but the Wallas cerainly has handled any heating needs i have..including being on the boat when outside temp is 23F. I have no problem with the cooking aspect. I find that while it is heating up, i am doing prep...and...

    New 22 cruiser for me?

My 22 C Dory, 2005, from Cutter on Chesapeake, came with an all chain rode it was their way. I anchor out about one out of five times..lots of friends with docks. I have not used anything but the windlass for holding. What is the best way to snub off an all chain rode? terraplane

    The C-Dory Legend

I want to add my support to the general run of comments above. I have found my 22 to be more satisfactory as an overall investment, as a seaworthy boat, and as a source of constant adventure...more than any of the eight boats i have owned. Some problems? Yes...but that is where this site comes...

For those of you who plan on using my field to park rigs...i have space for about six..I'd rather not get into the booking business. I have promised two because of special circumstances...that leaves three, maybe four. So it is first come...but we have never had problems in the past finding...

Charlie, I have a long lasting love affair with Crisfield, but since the new condos, and the demise of the seafook packing houses, it is not the same..So..onward to Smith Island, and i agree, a more interesting spot, especially for non"Chesapeake people. What do you think of the rest of the...

I"m going to talk to our local Rock Hall Ranger dealer and talk about some form of sponsorhip....i have already talked to the C Dory dealer in Annapolis and they are "considering" what they might be able to do for us. Seems to us a natural for sponsorhip of some kind...we not only have the C...

Les, I had hoped you might pick up on my request..Thanks so much. My mechanic at Cutter has done most of this each service...Not sure about the thermostat check and the greasing of steering cable...i'll be sure to ask about that this summer when i take it in. Hi Tracy, I will always remember that truck hauling a C Dory... Anyway, thanks for the offer. Something to think about...Doug and Anne were excited about the possibility of a poker run after being down there with you guys in NC at the gathering. We don't really have a clue about how this is...

OK, thanks for all the input on my possible plan to trade my carbureted 90 for a new EFI....Decident "no"....partly weighing the input here, the cost with trade (at least 5,000 with trade), and the fact that my frustrations were minor. So, seekint another line of advice. With my cars, my house...
