    -SOLD- 2003 TC24 $51,500.00 Pcola, Fl

Sorry for the delay. My wife has been cleaning etc., and I am finishing up a couple of ideas I started a few years ago, and haven't snapped any more of the inside. Look for them by tomorrow evening. I had originally planned on lining the inside of the berth, with some nice cork I purchased, and...

    Wallas stove/heater Question

What Bob said, "Don't do it". I would think damaging the Wallas, would be the very best that would happen, if you follow my drift. I would worry about something even worse.

Most Challenging Waves I Ever Encountered

Some inlets are always a lot of fun. It all depends on tide, wind, and traffic. All previously mentioned. I've been in and out of the pass here at Pcola, and it was as flat and nice as you could imagine. Then I've come in the pass, when the water was so confused, I simply slowed down, and...

Looking for a boat in Alaska!

It's a lot closer then Texas. :) That it is closer to being an island do to where it's situated, then say the state of Nebraska, is not lost on me. I noticed the thread about "Cory" delivering a boat for somebody. That'd be another option.

    Rule replacement

It's a plan then, I'll get them ordered. I've been tinkering on motorcycles more lately then the boat, does anybody have a favorite go to place for the Rules, switches, and a set of Racors, all in one stop?

Looking for a boat in Alaska!

Did you check the boats for sale, on the lower right(DOH!) side of the Home page? Several in Washington.

    Rule replacement

A vote for the status quo. Thanks Sunbeam. I only run the pumps, if I've accumulated water in the bilge from condenstate, rain, or washing the boat....and adding enough water to make sure they work. When they work fine(which has been up until now), I'd hit the switch, and leave it on for a bit...

What did I do wrong? What should I do in the future?

As others have said, slow down and take them on your chin, and not your shoulder. As Thataway mentioned, the same thing can happen with the large Sportfishers as well. I experienced that first hand, coming in the Pass, here at Pcola. I wasn't going very fast, but I hit the wave at about a 45...

    Rule replacement

I've put the Katie Kat up for sale, and I'm going to be replacing the bilge pumps and float switches. The easiest, is just to replace whats there. The Port side was a no go. The switch was definitely bad, I haven't tested the pump to see if it'd work via a bench test. The Starboard kicked on...

    -SOLD- 2003 TC24 $51,500.00 Pcola, Fl

Thanks, Bob. We're still alive, just being more like hermits then people anymore. It's good to see you here. I'm not sure what happened, Life, is the usual answer. :) Our original plan for a pier never happened, and where we are, it's tough to get more away then we already are. If I want to be...

    -SOLD- 2003 TC24 $51,500.00 Pcola, Fl

We just aren't using this boat. I kept telling myself I would, but I'm not getting to it. It's time for somebody else who can enjoy it, to own it. I'll run it here on C-Brats for a month, before kicking it onto Boattrader.com. There are pictures of the Katie Kat in the albums. Here's a link...

Dagnabbit -- I should've been paying attention the weather!

You could get some of the RV anti freeze and pour in your fish boxes. It's the pink stuff, that's environmentally friendly. Wally World sells it. I always add it to my waste tank when the weather looks like it could get cold and stay cold here. When I had an RV, I'd pump it thru the entire...

    Building a Better Boat Shelter

Well, it's certainly not a cheap solution, But I put up a pole barn. It's open on both ends, and I kept it open at the bottom on both sides. You can see a picture of my Cat House in my album. I tried one of the metal framed carport thingie's, and it lasted until Dennis blasted thru one...

    Need a little Wallas input

We're up and running. I came home this afternoon, and shortened the fuel supply line. I removed about 6 and a half feet of extra. The fuel is what was in there yesterday, so no changes there, and I placed pans with water on both burners. The time from when the switch was turned on, until the...

    Need a little Wallas input

Ah Ha!! I had left the lid up, so that I could hear all the gurgles and thumps etc.. I wondered if maybe I should have had a pan of water on the stove......I can rectify that part. Although, I didn't think the stove itself had gotten warm enough in the five minutes the red light was lit...

    Need a little Wallas input

That's what I'm think'n......hope'n While I was looking thru the manual, I also noticed that there was a big circle drawn around "Don't coil the extra hose" by the folks at "Scan Marine".....ie, cut the hose to length, when the installation is complete. The folks at CD were good enough to mount...

    Need a little Wallas input

The stove was signed out of the factory in 02. It's the model 125DU. Lack of use is probably going to be a big factor here. The stove worked properly when we first got the boat(fall 03). I believe it worked well in 06 or 07? Also, I switched to Klean Heat at that time. The diesel fuel was...

    Water in the Bilge

As far as other places to look, I'm not sure what the rode locker on the TC255 looks like, but on our 24, the drain was not at a low point, and the inside of the rode locker was not properly finished. If rain or water from the rode got in the locker, water would leak out of there, and into the...
