Which DC AC converter for notebook computer

I use a Coleman 200 watt inverter. It does have a cooling fan to assist in the dissapation of heat, but a laptop is only about 40-45 watts. Seems to work just fine, but I have only used it for one year.

    Chatter About C-Dory's

We had two Whalers prior to the C-Dory, a 13' and a 15' Dauntless. We cruised the waters from Olympia WA to Seattle Wa in both. The 13 never made it past Gig Harbor--just too rough riding. The 15 however was great for two and not bad for six people if the distances weren't too great. It took...

    C-Dory Sightings

We have been in the south Puget Sound since last thursday, having launched at Swantown Marina in Olympia. We were pulling Notayot out and found B~C in Blue~C waiting to launch. We had a nice discussion about C-Dory boats. We are now on lry land, and they are enjoing the water and wonderful...

Got to meet another C-Brat today...

Just a thought, but as I recall if you have a copy of your purchase documents and proof of an application for registration you can be on the water. I used this some years ago, but also carried a copy of the law (which I cannot quite remember now), but then I did not get stopped. We did have a...

    Raymarine E-80 puzzle

I'm not sure if this will help, but the C-80 manual recommends turning off the heading updates from the GPS receiver on the NMEA bus when a fast heading (KVH?) device is also on the NMEA or SEATALK bus. I assume this is to avoid two different heading words being routed around the network on the...

Installing Radar - Degree of dip?

We decided on the radar arch and C-80 on Notayot, and have been more than satisfied with the performance. Les is right on all counts. We had Les ordering the arch before we even decided on radar! I use the arch to climb all over the boat as well as on and off at the dock. Whatever angle the...

    CD-22 and Ford Explorer

I have a 1998 Explorer (5,800# towing) with the high numerical ratio axles and traction lock on rear axle, 124,000 miles. It tows the 22 OK, but it groans and moans on the hills. I have a 2004 Ranger (18,000 miles)with the same SOHC 205 hp engine but 2 wheel drive and traction lock axle. Both...

C-Fisher is Home, BIG THANKS! to the Factory

I must agree! I had Notayot at the factory two weeks ago (after the Seattle Boat Show) for some work. Brett Reynolds and the employees that did the work jumped right on our boat, finishing the work in one day. On top of that, they did more than I expected, working long past quitting time on a...

    Raymarine C80/E80 queries

Hey, Thanks! I have all of my C80 waypoints archived to a CF card, but have not done anything with them. This will allow me to manipulate them and all of my hundreds of routes on my Garmin from earlier times!

    weight down the road

I tow with a 2004 Ranger 2 wheel drive 4.0 liter single overhead cam with 207 hp. The truck has the tow package (5,800 lb tow) that includes positraction for more traction at the ramp. Also use a 1998 Explorer with the same SOHC engine, tow package but 4 wheel drive. I think it is 5,600 or...

    MMSI #'s

We have the DSC feature on Notayot, and have our MMSI number installed, but so far have not been boating with anyone else using DSC. We have it for the emergency locate feature, since it is integrated with the chartplotter. If a group of boaters were all using DSC, I think they could even keep...

    A Dingy Thingy

We have been using the West Marine 2 person inflatable. I think it is between $200-$300. It has worked well, and is very easy to board from the swim step. It is light enough for one person to put it on the roof top for travel. We keep it inflated when crossing the strait of Juan de Fuca due...
