  3. Starboard gelcoat was applied but did not fully fill the depressions. Cleaned with acetone and applied a second coat. After sanding level a few air bubbles showed so a third very light "wash" coat filled the bubbles and it ended up a perfect color match.

    Kindle DX

Your rare moment apparently arrived. The one on sale is WiFi only. Click on the link Charlie. I suppose I could "need" one but it means reading the manual. OBTW, is the manual on the Kindle? Sort of self defeating, no? To plagarize Bart Simpson: You know, boys, a Kindle is a lot like a...

Amazon has the WiFi only Kindle on sale for $139. Now that might tempt me. Luddite Don

    Seating in a 2004 22

The Jenny B (a 2005) was ordered in late 2004 and the only reason we didn''t get a floor model 2004 was because there weren't any in the Admiral's color choice, namely Mocha. We spent a lot of time in the 2004's while ordering and the only difference I could see visually between the 2004 and...

    Seating in a 2004 22

The first year the factory offered that option was in 2005. It was based on a design developed by the One True Brat (TyBoo Mike) who had modified his C-22. A few other Brats put the mod into earlier models. Don

    Engines

Jim makes an excellent point; avoid carburetors unless you're a very active boater with either good mechanical skills or you have a family member who is an outboard mechanic. Go fuel injected. Other than that, as even the honest dealers will tell you, they're all good, so give the nod...

    Kindle DX

OK, call me a Luddite but could anyone here explain why a fully functional person needs a Kindle? I can definitely see the benefits for a paraplegic, quad, or vision challenged person but otherwise IMHO it’s just a cool expensive adult toy. Caveat: I am not against adult toys - I have a big...

    An Electric Beetle?

Lots of street credit with an electric Beetle. Especially with the hippy generation. 455 air conditioning (four windows down, 55 mph) and barely enough room for two plus groceries. Nostalgia piece for sure and cheap if you compare Brian's offering to the Leaf or the Aptera (which is built...

    TOWING C-Dory with Camper cover

I prefer not to travel with a cover. Sunbrella isn't cheap and the wind doth blow. Unless extraordinary efforts were made to create the cover as a travel cover it will stretch every seam and the Sunbrella itself. The only times I travel with a cover is off freeway and for short distances...

    Say a prayer

I too echo the comments of the other Brats here. Having experienced two bypass operations about 20 years apart and some recent stents, I can empathize. I know you'll experience the outcome that's best for you. As you are aware, there have been astounding surgical advances in the last two...

    Suggestion Box for C-Dory Factory

Back to factory suggestions: C-22 I looked over the changes in the factory specific model albums and I do think the forward storage areas are a great addition as well as the (YAY) larger lazarette covers aft for battery/storage areas. Waterproof lazarettes from the factory, finally! Several...

    10/16 - C-Dory Gelcoat Class

Wapiti I just received a quart of ivory gelcoat from Spectrum and it is a very close match to the ivory on my 1993 C-16. Close enough for me anyway. The tag says "C-Dory ivory 98". Spectrum has color matches for all the C-Dorys from 2000-2009 but only one match in the '90's; 1998. Currently...

New pictures in the Plant Factory pictures section

Scott: I'm having trouble finding the pictures. Are they on this site? The Triton site? The C-Dory site? Please post a link to the photos. Thanks Don

Activating reverse lockout to bleed surge brakes

Oh jeeze, I had a brain fart and thought you were bleeding in the other direction. ie: pumping the master cylinder and not seeing fluid come out of the wheel bleed points. As Gilda Ratner would say, "Never mind" (my PM) Don
