King salmon fishing in the San Juan's

I think this Saturday we will stay at Pt Defiance to keep it local (read: to sleep in after the 4th a little longer) but alreayd have a 3-4 day trip planned for july 18th to the SJ's with a buddy for salmon. Keep me posted if you guys go out this weekend, want to see some blood in the boats :)...

    San Juan Islands June 2014

just got caught up on your trip, glad you're home safe and it looks like you had a fun time! This Mt Rainier detour is hilarious to me because I know you likely drove right past my house on the way up there :) flipped through your san juan pictures, looks like you guys had a great time! I'll...

    Pt Townsend Coupeville Ferry

holy cow. I 100% understand your approach as I often do things the hard way the first time to get my feet wet (hoping to keep them dry! lol) but yeah that definitely is some perspective. I would not want to be stuck in the car for 8 hrs just to jump across the puget sound!

    Cooking on board

I really wanted a magma, but honestly on a 22 I wanted less clutter too. we cook everything on the two burner stove top in the cabin. and I mean everything. we've cooked steak, fajitas, peppers, eggs, maybe even pancakes and whatnot. its one less thing to stow away and I'm kind of a minimalist...

2004 22 Cruiser, $39,500 (Port Angeles, WA) - Da Nag!

Congrats on what appears to be a quick sale! FYI, I had to cross state lines (inland) to find a boat in my price range as they all the puget sound-ish ones would sell in a heartbeat out here, at any price. the c-dorys in this area are well known and respected and kind of a have a "minimum"...

    Jarrel Cove

I don't really have many pics this time, but the wife and I took a little three day to Jarrel with some friends this weekend. We launched at Swan Town in Olympia, and it was about 90 minutes to Jarrel across reasonable, but at times snotty, waters. the weather was hit or miss showers but...

    Post in progress?

I believe the vbulletin forum software has a message that comes up and says "someone has replied to this thread since you last saw it" if someone happens to reply while you are in 'reply' mode yourself. it lets you see updates real time. I dont know if phpbb offers anything like that or not...

    Stereo Questions

so our Jawbone/jambox arrived yesterday (8pm by UPS, I had no idea they delivered that late). I can't compare it to the Bose, but generally speaking here's our response. My wife immediately said she should have bought 2 or 3. The sound quality is great. the bluetooth syncs quickly and I was...

    San Juan Islands June 2014

its fun to read your updates, enjoy your trip! sorry about the blown tire, but it sounds like it wasn't too big of a set back for you. yes, 500 miles a day is a lot. I'm not sure I could maintain that pace for very long either. at 60mph you're running pretty long days. it'll be nice to start...

    Fuel use for 75 honda

Mine is a 2005 Merc, but I just haven't bothered pushing it wide open. I like the way it sounds and feels at 4500-4700. That's definitely something I could explore further though.
