    Brake Stutter

the stutter is like a catch + release + catch + release, or kinda like the wheels are going over a bumpy road all the sudden when slowing down. I haven't it seems to happen more during a soft brake than a hard brake. I havent' noticed any leaks or anything yet, but I think this next week I'm...

Hmmm they are surge, and it is tandem but the boat is not balanced any differently as far as I can tell. that is something I always check when we retrieve, we get kind of picky about that.

    Brake Stutter

I am getting an occasional stutter in the trailer brakes on my EZ loader trailer when I stop. Its not always, just occasional. what would cause that? Air in the lines? fluid is topped and brakes are in otherwise good shape, just had the trailer serviced this spring... looking for some...

King salmon fishing in the San Juan's

thanks Paul, we were going to launch out of anacortes probably friday morning and work our way west, so hitting the closer fishing holes first made sense. Eagle point could be the ticket for Saturday morning for us.

that's perfect, thanks Tom! that was more or less my plan, Obstruction to Tide point. I wasn't sure where we were going to drop the pots yet though. Question on crabbing. usually I just come home the same day and cook up my crab fresh. if i'm out for a few days, what do you recommend? a simple...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

Saturday I wanted a freshwater dunk before next weekends San Juan trip. finalize boat stuff, keep her clean and an opportunity to get the kids out. Took my wife, son, her friend and her son. We motored from the state park at Sammamish to the other side, dropped anchor at Idlewood, swam in to the...

    towing mileage

Since rebuilding the tranny, reflashing the electronics, and doing a tuneup, my hemi cherokee (2005) gets 11-13 towing the CD22. before that it got 9. I could swear we got 15-17 towing with my dads '99 3/4 dodge cummins but I could be mistaken.

    KEEP BUMPING HEAD

this actually sounds like the best advice. what's better than to draw attention to the hazard? or get new friends. most of mine are under 5'3" so its not an issue. ha.

    Interesting docking procedures/maneuvers

my rule of thumb is to do everything slow when on a boat. or towing a boat. or launching, retrieving, hitching, dehitching, cleaning, moving, maintaining, shopping, etc.

    Interesting docking procedures/maneuvers

yeah we have backed in a couple times. Narrows marina comes to mind. the only thing I didn't like about it was it was a short slip and I was afraid of going too far back and hitting the motor. we didn't, but it was on my mind. if I can I just like to drift straight in to the starboard side...
