we had a tandem axle when I was towing down 167 on my way to Lake Washington years ago and had a blowout. I was able to limp off the road to a safe place to put on the spare because we had a tandem. I've been sold ever since. :thup

Just take the dinghy. :thup if you go to Jones Island or Sucia chances are very strong that you'll need it. we grabbed the last dock space at Rosario, so the dinghy was a close call there too. If you go to friday harbor, west beach, or blakely you might not... but its better to have it and...

Jake, I recommend calling West Beach and seeing if you can get dock space there. they have some daily kids activities, an ice cream bar and you can walk around the area. the walk to east sound is a little long though at 3 miles but you could probably call a cab if you wanted to. OR Rosario...
