    New season

Today was the uncovering day for t he 2017 season. The boat is a dirty mess but will clean up quickly. The tilt system was buggered up after the winter. Turned out that air got in to the hydraulic system. Lifting the motor (500 lbs) by hand up into the lock position, then filling the...

    1984 22 C-Dory price question

As the original 28 yr. owner of a 1983 CD and with my son the next 7 yr. owner we have a few comments,,,,,,,,,,,, 1st; if the entire outfit was as nice as the alum. wheels on the trailer it would be a $8k buy but with the painted trailer, questionable engine and obvious lack of cleaning and...

    Gear Oil pump, Honda BF150

My pump has not fit the hole for years. Just hold it tightly in or against the hole and pump away until it comes out of the top hole. When you are 50 miles from a supply store you just need to improvise. Happy Thanksgiving

Why was my boat for sale ad deleted

Tybo, Is it possible to set out a definite format for listing a boat for sale which would force everyone to use it. Having them in order by year like the bottom part of the list is the very best way in IMHO. Anyway..........thanks for your work in doing this for the brats. Jack in Alaska

    Center window wiper

Back in 1983 when I purchased my 22' CD I took the port electric wiper and moved it to the center window. Then installed the manual wiper from the ctr. window into the port position. It has worked for 33 yrs. My present CD only has a port and stbd window so no problem. Jack in Alaska

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

Today I parked my boat for the winter. Next week, oil change, lower unit gear oil change, Racor fuel filter, low press. filter, flush with salt-away and cover it up. I really hate doing this so early but fall and winter are coming soon.

    Changing accent color of c-dory

My friend and neighbor painted his 26' ProAngler called the MARYRED from dark blue to bright red about 12 yrs ago. It still looks bright and shiny today and the boat is outside all the time. There is a picture of it in my photo album.

    C-Dory Sightings

It looks like the bow roller assembly as well as the net reel have been removed and it is being used s a sport fishing boat. This was taken in the Whittier, Alaska harbor several days ago. I hope you all enjoy seeing this unusual CD. Jack in Alaska

    C-Dory Sightings

My son saw probably the only bowpicker C-Dory tied up in the Whittier harbor last week. I have a picture of it in an email but do not know how to post it. Yesterday in Homer I saw a 27' stern drive, a 25' Tomcat, a 24' Tomcat, a 16', a 22' angler and a 22' cruiser as well as my 26' ProAngler.

    Guns on Boats

Saxe Point......... I am glad that you chimed in on this gun issue with perspective from another country, our good friends the Canadians ehh. My wife and I have traveled around the USA twice, to Mexico (Cancun & Matzatlan) 6 times and most of Canada in our RV. I never once felt it necessary...

    Guns on Boats

I carry two............ 1. a 410 Snake Charmer single shot shotgun. Used for dispatching large halibut. Not happening much lately. 2. A 22 cal 9 shot revolver. Used for smaller halibut dispatching and much easier on old ears. Halibut are much easier and safer to handle in the boat after...

    Toland era boats ?

I have heard that the curren t boats being made are of better quality than they were back in the 90's and 2000's. My 2005 is pretty good but I find "warts" on it ocassionally. Jack in Alaska

    Pulling Anchor

Thumbsup............. Unless you are anchored up in a stiff wind or running tide you will not have a problem of pulling your boat under if fouled in the prop. I did that trick last year after pulling my anchor over 500 times without a problem in 150' with a 5 knot tide. The whole problem was...
