    c-dory warrenties worthless?

I think that if there were any big warranty issues out there, that this thread would have some real basis. Without any issues though it becomes conjecture. Something for us to ponder and think out loud about. Many of us (my bride and I included) may just have to hope that no problems arise...

Boat Handling / twin or single outboard

Don, Yes, to attain that speed the boat needs to be planing or "on step" as some have said. I have had trouble understanding why some others with 45 and 50 hp. engines are unable to do it. It has to be one of three things or a combination of them. Prop pitch, a heavier load, or no trim tabs...

Boat Handling / twin or single outboard

O.K. all, We had Osprey out on Lake Superior yesterday evening. I ran the tests that I promised and here is what happened: With one Honda 40 in the water, about a 3 mph tail breeze, flat 52 deg. water, 10-15 gals of fuel, 420 lbs of people, and trolling gear, by no means a heavy load, and if I...

Portable Stoves - What do you use?

Sarge, Agreed on the Wallas, great unit but slow and too hot in the summer. We use a single burner propane stove with a small disposable cylinder for morning coffee, boiling water and such. I wish I could tell you the make and model, it's pretty old. I used to use it to heat a portable ice...

    Center window problem on C-22

Oh--Oh, Apparently the double adjusters were only for a short period (1 year?). I am sorry for incorrectly saying "newer boats come with double support arms". Didn't know that they did not continue that practice. Osprey really does have one on each side of the window. Dan

    Center window problem on C-22

Thataway is correct, the newer boats come with the double support arms. I don't always tighten them both though and maybe I should be doing that. Can't say enough about how great it is to have that center opening window. Capt Dan

    Pictures with big, black bars

All, You might try deleting all your temporary internet files. They can build up to be a heavy load on your system. Some would say clear your cache. Go to internet options and depending on your operating system there is an option for doing that. Good luck, Capt Dan

    Bunk guide-ons

Thanks Jay, I think I will leave em where they are for now, even flopped they can't contact the gel coat. Good idea with the washers, I'll give it a try. And Joe, Kinda seems like That is already go'in on! Capt Dan

    HOLY NIP-N-TUCK BOATMAN......

Very cool Tom, thank you. That view is plenty good enough to "get it". So you will just spread out the sides to line everything up with the wider transom? I'm gonna be watchin this one. My wife and I with Osprey in tow will be traveling south to AL in late Sept/early Oct. for the winter. If...

    Bunk guide-ons

My guides are away about 3 inches, half way up. I have been a little paranoid about the guides actually touching the gel coat thinking they might be abrasive enough to scratch it on a long road trip. Have any of you found that they don't scratch it? While we are on this topic, my trailer is...

    Water tank....necessary or expendable?

Chuck, I to have been thinking similarly. When we bought Osprey, the original owner had put a gallon or so of some kind of RV antifreeze in the tank. It's still in there now and I don't really know how to get it all out and dispose of it. Since so far we have only used the boat on Lake...

Need Help -- Sea Sport does not reply!

Randy, I think your lock is a Mobella Lock. At least my 2006 has that lock. They are made in Sweden. I had a similar problem last Sept. All I had to do was call Les at the factory and give him my key number. I had a whole new lock in 3 days, no charge. Sea Sport probably has all that stock...
