Unfortunately circumstances have come up that will prevent me from participating in any cruises or gatherings this year. Hopefully someone will step up and continue with this Western Lakes idea and with the Lake Powell gathering.

The boards on the Wallas vary a bunch...but that black wire is a ground and you should find a spade next to the two main power wires...Sunbeam's pic gives a good indication of where the spade is. The two large red and black wires are the main power connection...and you should find a vacant spade...

The reality is that the badging can be very misleading...all F-250's or E-250's are not created equally. Further complicated by model year variations. Just a quick example...2009 E-250's were built with 5 different spring packs and 4 different radiators...depending on how the truck was spec'd...

On the grocery issue...I agree with Sunbeam. Convenience store at best...and at the time of year we are there...tail end of the season...they are running their inventory down so pickings can be slim. I always recommend that folks provision for the duration before they leave the launch ramp...

Joe...I've seen many references to the "use is good, sitting is bad" idea for tires...works well for other stuff...like boats... too. Worse thing you can do is let them sit. Here's a link to one reference talking about emollients working to the surface of the tire as it works...

Looks like the third Saturday of September is the 20th this year...so our gathering in Oak Canyon will be September 20th, 2014. The water guessers seem to think the water situation will be slightly better this year...so levels should be similar to last year. I will be leaving the Wahweap marina...

Surge brakes will give a little clunk normally...but if it is excessive it can mean the brakes need to be bled. There should be a small amount of travel in the actuater...but if the travel is approaching 100% it will really clunk...and the remedy is to bleed the brakes.
