    Outboard fuel lines

The new USCG A1-15 fuel line standards became effective January 1, 2012 and all boat builders and boat importers must comply with them. I should say that the Motor had Ethanol rated hose. Just not the hoses from the tanks to motor and the vent lines. They were just general purpose fuel line.

    Outboard fuel lines

The EPA defines useful life as 10 years for boat fuel system components and five years for PWC fuel systems. My boat was built in 2007 and no Ethanol rated hoses were used. Mine have all been changed out. I try not to use any fuel with Ethanol in it. Not only is it bad for the fuel line but you...

    13 ft Heavy Duty Kaboat

Hi Steve I roll mine up on the ground and stand it on end then tip it onto the tailgate so I don't have to lift all the weight. You can also use the davit too put it on the tailgate. I have to mussel it a little to get into the bed of the truck. Bring it up to Yellowstone in August and we can...

    Solar Panel Basics

It comes with cables but not a charge controller. My charge controller that I use is a Victron 110/20. I lets me use the same app as the battery monitor and easily change between battery types for different applications. My National Luna Fridge /Freezer only uses one compressor for both the...

looking at a glass panel from BougeRV and there rating BougeRV 9BB Cell 200 Watts Mono Solar Panel,22.8% High Efficiency Module Monocrystalline Technology I can't say how they get that number but it looks like the glass panel and the folding panel are about the same. The trick is you need to...

    Solar Panel Basics

What I ended up with was 2 130 watt panels from Overland Solar not cheap but they fold up the most compact. I use them for offroad and the boat. You could also look at the BLUETTI Solar Panel PV200, 200 Watt for Portable Power Station it doesn't fold up as small but the price is better.

    ISO backup prop Honda 110

Boat engines lose about 3 percent of their horsepower for every 1,000 feet of elevation above sea level. The only way to get it back is to supercharge the engine. I lose 24 percent of my horse power at Yellowstone and about 12 percent at lake Powell. You would adjust your pitch down to get the...

    Reactor 40 autopilot for C-dory 22: 1.2l or Smartpump?

My 22 runs great with the 1.2 liter pump. Maybe Colby can chime in and tell you what the benefits of the smartpump would be.

If one of the tunnels collapsed and the other tunnel couldn't move all the water what would happen then? In 1983 Glen Canyon came so close to a catastrophe and they just got lucky and they almost had a repeat in 1984. Hopefully the modifications to the spillways at Hoover, Glen and Flaming Gorge...

What’s it like on lake powell lately?

On the left they are 8' steel plates to the top of the spillways and on the right they added 4X8 sheets of plywood because the water was going to top the spillway gates. The spillways got all eroded and move tons of rock into the river system. The water was 8.4 feet over full pool. Here is...
