    Boat stuff I like

Greg. Thanks for the info about the Liquiseal travel mug. I have been looking for some time for something that was spill proof and simple to use. Got one at Wall Mart and it really fits the bill. Bob. I had been wishing for a long time to find something simple that would measure battery level...

    How to kill the stink

We use Thetford Aqua-Kem liquid. Never had any smell problems and it really breaks down the RV type toilet paper.

    wash & wax

For years we have been using MerMaids wash with wax and we wouldn't use anything else. Really helps keep the boat looking great between the two wax jobs each year. I would say keep it up.

Taking Apart The Wallas 95 DU

I gree with what everyone has said. What an awesome bit of documentation. It would be great to have all the systems in our boats documented to this extent, particularly the electrical.

    Water and fuel don't Mix

Our solution for many yrs has been to use a "No Spill Fuel Saver" that is a plastic bottle that attaches to the hull with suction cups and covers the fuel vent. (WM). In fact our fuel dock has one for people to use. We carry our own. The other method we use is to put our ear down near the fuel...

We have had this happen a couple of times. Once for three days and another time for about four hrs. Have no idea what caused it.

    Changes at C-Dory

Scot. I'm sure you are taking the prudent course of action which only makes sense. We will continue to do what we can to keep C-Dory in the limelite with those who ask about the boats.

Lest We Forget ... DaNag and Tyboo

We certainly can't add much to what has already been said for the unselfish work Bill & Mike do. We certainly don't run across people like them any more. I tip my hat to them.

    40 Miles in the rain

I love running in the rain. There is just some kind of peace that makes me feel good and also it seems to keep others in port.

    fuel tank burps

For years we have been using the "no spill fuel saver", West Marine #290430, I know a lot of other places also carry it. Attaches to the tank vent by suction cups when you aare fueling. At our marina the fuel dock has one that they will loan you as they sure don't want any fuel in the water.

    Ice Shelf in Cooler

We have the ice box and agree it does not have good insulation. We purchased one of the soft side coolers that just fits snug in the ice box and that works great for us. On more than day trips we also carry a larger 5-day cooler with ice.

    GPS Question...

We have a Lowrance Globalmap 3600c which has the internal antenna and have never had a problem with it. We have the 24 Tomcat and that posibly might make make it easier to get the fix that the internal antenna needs.

    Disappointment

Pat. What was going on was Cast for Kids event that day. Last yr they put thru about 700 kids, most the first time they had ever been fishing. Then their probably were the regulars making it worse and of course the parking is not plentiful anyway.
