    Great story Rick. Thanks for sharing. In my 25 years as a volunteer Fire fighter/emt there were multiple times on Thanksgiving, Christmas, kids birthdays etc when the pager went off and I left the table for extended periods of time to help others. Have a great holiday season.

    If properly installed and the fittings are tight you should not ever smell fuel in the cabin. (unless you spill some when refilling the tank). These units use outside air for combustion air and then vent the exhaust out side also. The inside air is heated as it recirculates within the system...

    The original steps are secured with a 6" piece of aluminum 3" angle. Screwed and glued to the interior of the step and the other side of the angle is screwed to the bulkhead. Then caulked all around. You can unscrew the access port to get at it.

    I took another picture of the the new tank install yesterday and will get it posted soon. The new tank is in place and they now have to install new fill hoses.vent hoses and connect the fuel suction lines and wiring for the fuel gauge. The tank is made by Coastline Equipment in Bellingham...

    The new tank has been delivered and completely epoxied. Two new 1 1/2" spacers have been glassed to the floor of the boat. The patching in between was to repair the small cuts into the fiberglass when they cut out the tank.
