I made a kicker bracket on the side gunnel by the door. The bracket is tied into the horizontal storeage bin and the bottom is supported by the foot step. The kicker is inside the boat, out of the way but easy to get to. I copied this idea from another boat. Unfortunately I can not find any...

I did the same thing on my boat. I purchased two plastic stick on hooks from any home hardware store. Peeled off the sticky backs and threw those away. Used "Marine Goop", most chandlers and Canadian Tire, and stuck the hooks in place. They were perfect, no problems and no holes. 18 months...

I agree, a lovely boat. But I remember what attracted me to the C-Dory 22. No complicated systems, no thru-hulls, no wood means minimal maint, easy to trailer, good resale value. Martin.
