    Twins on a 25

The single vs twins debate has gone on for as long as I've been here....there are are good reasons for both views. In the end the best solution is to choose the one you yourself feel satisfies your own personal needs and comfort level.

    No sturgeon, lots of seals

We were anchored up by the 205 bridge this afternoon and heard a sealion barking....I've never heard one barking in the open river up there before. They usually clear out of the Columbia by May 31st (in the Portland area, anyway). We too have seen more eagles this year.

    C-Dory theft security

Just going over to the copier now......that picture of Joe on the opening front window, one on the door and one on the port window (slipside) should do the trick.

    West Coast Picture Help

I don't think there is anywhere on the OR coast that is that close to the water with those kind of rocks until you get south of Port Orford.

    Sea Sport Thoughts

We got boarded last November...we had the cockpit cover on and the Wallas going. The young guy that checked us out said that it was way warmer in our boat than his and then proceeded to ask a ton of questions (gee whiz type) about the boat. There weren't many boats out that day and I think they...

    A question about literary agents?

Sue and a friend wrote a workbook for organizing personal estates 12 years ago (and since revised twice). We chose to self-publish (for the reasons previously stated - control of our product) and have been selling it ever since. In fact, our first big check bought Steve! I'm sure there are a lot...

    Pacific Coast Highway

The good news is that the start of the best hike on the Oregon coast is just a short walk from Hwy 101. Heading south after Cannon Beach you'll pass the tiny settlement of Arch Cape before entering a short (1/4 mile) tunnel. When you emerge from the tunnel you'll be in Oswald West (there is no...

Across the Atlantic in 21ft with 140 Suzuki

Pretty interesting read (their blog). It looked like there was a huge gas container on each side of the boat and several 10 gallon cans as well. It's a 115 Suzuki with a 9.9 kicker. They used the kicker for the last 152 miles to the first Greenland waypoint as a result of strong headwinds and...

    New Owner in Portland

Kathleen, I believe there is dry storage on Tomahawk Island. I keep my boat in the water year-round at Tomahawk Island Marina (and have for 7 years). PM me for any advice you need on moorage. Chuck

    Columbia River Gorge

The sternwheeler is a good way to experience that part of the Columbia. Another thing worth doing is the road from Hood River up through the Hood River Valley ending at Timberline Lodge (My Hood) for lunch. Multnomah Falls (600’) isn’t far down the road. In Stevenson the Walking Man Brewpub is...

    Outboard Engine Covers

My boat has been in the water for 7 years with no covers and no damage. I also use it once a week.

    60 Yamaha on a 22 angler?

The minute that reselling withing a short period of time is important the whole equation changes. I can't imagine trying to resell an underpowered 22 (anything less than 80 hp...to normal load-heavy users) in these economic times without having to seriously compromise the price.
