    TyBoo's Crab Shack

Nice, how fortunate you are to obviously live in an area with a well-managed Dungeness Fishery.

    Center window wiper

That's the same unit I installed on the 22 and 25. Even though I use Rain-X on the windows it's nice to be able to clear the center windshield with a single swipe. Simple install, well worth the money.

    My CO alarm went off!!

If it's the factory original like on my boat its wired to the boats 12 volt system; low voltage will cause it to alarm. If in fact you have this unit I would remove and replace with a good combination battery smoke/co2 detector.

    Oops!

Probably had too many leaky seems for the bilge pumps to cope with.

    Radar question

Not a problem with newer units, most have internal antennas..

    Boat windshield Wipers

The wiper arm swivel point corrodes over time, a couple shot of WD-40 and working it up and down a couple of times seems to do the trick. I have to do this a couple times a year. I'm sure there are better lubricants I just like WD-40 around the boat because it's non-toxic and doesn't leave a...

Can anyone tell me which boat this?

    I would venture to say that's a 22.

    Boat windshield Wipers

If you lost just the blade you can buy replacments at most auto parts stores. Buy one that is longer then you need than snip to correct length with a pair of dikes; this is by far the cheapest alternative. If you lost the whole stainless steel wiper West Marine should have a replacement.

    Lewmar Pro Fish woes

Here is where I got my control arm upgrade: http://www.defender.com/product3.jsp?pa ... id=2842506 At close to $5 a foot for G4 chain you might want to reconsider an all chaine rode. The standard Alaskan rode seems to run from 400 to 600 feet, a lot of money and most likely too much...

Getting heat to the v berth from the cabin?

Just a note on the use of the ecofan, scan Marine suggested that I not use one after repairing the Wallace on our 22. Inside the Wallace is something called a heat shield I believe it was seeverely warped. At night we would leave the Wallace on low and place the ecofan on the higher...

    2006 Suzuki DF 200

I had to go with 14 pitch 3 blade on my 150 Verado, also bought from PropGods; great to do business with. On flat water light I'll hit 35mph, 33 heavy. You should be able to make 38+ with 200hp. Good luck with the new prop, hopefully you'll be able to hit upper mid range of max rpm at WOT...

    Solar or generator

Same for use, we use a Big-Kahuna shower the same way, have the 3 gal one that will deliver about 4 showers; heat the water on the Wallace but a gas Colman would be faster. We also pulled the refrigerator and hot water heater in favor of more space. 2 batteries in the lazarette and one in the...

Definitely something to that statements. With that said there was Frost on the rooftops here this morning.

Learning something new every time - trim tabs

I'm guessing trim tabs extend 15 to 20 degrees down from the level or neutral position. These things are relatively easy to work on, phone tech support can usually walk you through possible fix scenarios based on the symptoms. If you can diagnose and fix a problem on your own you'll not only...

C-Brats: Have you ever owned a VW bus/camper?

The family had a 66 bus, my mother and I camped with it a lot in the late 60s. We also had 2 bugs back than, I learned how to drive in one. My first car was a 65 bug with about 30,000 miles on it, paid $650.00 for it. Got my drivers license on my 16th birthday, bought the car the next day...

    Lewmar Pro Fish woes

The upgrade is for the Pro Fish, keeps the line from jumping out of the Gypsy on fee fall. Don't think it offers any advantage for Pro only series.

    Lewmar Pro Fish woes

Krustaka, You have too small diameter line, I'll guarantee it. Had/have simulator problem. Have the Lewmar 700 with profish conversion. When I bought the boat it came with 200 feet of rode and 15 feet of chain. I wanted more so purchased 600 ft of 1/2 " 3 strand from AK wire and rope and...
