SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

We put in at Cresap and motored east toward Saddle Dam. This put us on the very short section of the Lewis River between Merwin and Yale. I understand the Saddle Dam ramp is not usable at this time as they've drawn down Yale to work on the dam. We're headed back to Ridgefield tomorrow to take...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

Finally, after nearly 2 years of ownership, we spent the night on C-Otter! We had a marvelous time and most important to me is my wife is asking if we can do it again next week! :D Here's a pic facing west over the top of the boat. We anchored and then tied a line from the stern to the exposed...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

Finishing up a project today: - flush hydraulic fluid from steering - attempt to fix frozen AP motor - refill with new fluid Unfortunately, I destroyed the AP motor trying to disassemble it. At least 1 of the bearings was rusted frozen and either my work on it resulted in the magnets breaking...

    Hydraulic Fluid for Seastar/Baystar

Thanks for the idea Colby! I just purchased a gallon from Pearson Field here in Vancouver, WA for $44 + tax. That's about 1/3 it would have cost per quart!

    Fiberglass Damage Around Fuel Vent

From the inside, there is a bulge where the fiberglass was pushed in. That might look like filler. One other consideration is the re-installation of the fuel tank vent fitting. It is mounted like a thru-hull fitting would be such that it compresses the fiberglass with a washer and threaded nut...

    Fiberglass Damage Around Fuel Vent

You can see the snap in the pic to give you an idea of the diameter. I think you're suggesting to leave the damaged area and cover it with some visually acceptable (and waterproof?) trim since it is not structural and above water. I hadn't thought of that...

    Fiberglass Damage Around Fuel Vent

Unfortunately, I had an impact to the port fuel vent that pushed the side of the vent in, damaging the fiberglass. Here's a pick from the outside. There are more pics in this album from the outside and inside...

    Searching the C-Dory Site

I used the instructions in this link to get great results on my boat: https://forums.sailboatowners.com/threa ... ax.117266/ It was lots of hard physical labor even with a good polisher. The C-Dory's have lots of different small surfaces to polish rather than the expansive surfaces like on a...
