    brass bow guard

While trailering the boat wend. I notice one of the screw heads on the brass bow guard showing more of a profile. Got home and sure enough it has backed out about a turn and a half. Must have happened when beaching it? Question is I know these have failed in the past. Is there something I need...

    keel guard ?

should not be an issue removing bottom paint and then a little prep. has anyone ever used the roll on bed liner for a keel guard I was reading over on the hull truth some were trying it out and seemed to be working fairly well. cheaper and able to fan out the edge? may be worth looking into also?

    No-hole washdown pump installation

BTW I like your table mount to the tie bar. May have to give that set up a shot. Went with the bbq mounts this year and it still will pivot around the bar if someone leans up on it. Do you get any movement with that set up?

    No-hole washdown pump installation

I have used Jabsco pumps for a while now. My first one I got 4 seasons out of it before it sat in my garage for 2 years (pulled off old boat waiting to put on new boat). When I did put it on the c-dory it did not work, I figured that it had sat so long corrosion had taken over. Reading online...

    keel guard ?

so we rarely beach the boat but during shrimp season we beach launch and last weekend beached between pulls. once back on the trailer I noticed the bottom pain has rubbed off the front of the brass bow guard and about 3/4" on each side. granted the bottom paint is older and will be redone this...

    shrimping

Defiantly sporty out in MA12 got 6 limits in 2 pulls. second pull was not as good as first. lost half the crew to sea sickness and they stayed on the beach for most of the time. and we took a fair amount of water over the transom both getting off the beach at launch and pulling pots. Rick...

jack when you had your 22 how did you connect to the bow from the cockpit? thataway yes I am trying to deploy and set my anchor from the cockpit but have it attached at the bow with the easiest system I can use. for retrieving i can just the buoy system posted above and motor away and a slight...

    anyone ever use this system?

thanks and yes the retrieval system we have is the type that clips on after the anchor is deployed not like the one shown that you have to pay all the line through.

    anyone ever use this system?

thanks for the info i will make sure and check the strength of the clips. is there a better way to attach them? shackle? also I only plan to bow anchor at this time just doing so from the cockpit.

    anyone ever use this system?

I too got confused with the video a little. the main thing i wanted to do was anchor from the cockpit and after reading on stern anchor pulling more I think I am just going to run a 1/2" rope from the bow cleat back to the cockpit tie off to the stern cleat with a carabiner and then attach...

    anyone ever use this system?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alnxr9it ... e=youtu.be was wondering if anyone has ever used this way to anchor before? until we go windlass this is they way I am leaning to keep from going to the bow all the time. my main question is even with the quick release wouldn't you still bee hooked...

    E-Z Loader Trailer Brakes

lots of info, and we will see what the budget holds for brakes when it comes time to do them and see if we go EOH or surge. still impressive to see them clean up as well as they did.

    E-Z Loader Trailer Brakes

so are these all electric brakes? or electric/hydro combo? I am looking at re doing trailer breaks as the current drums no longer work. I want to go with electric, but due to 95% salt water use most have recommended doing the electric/hydraulic combo. the price for that is what has kept me from...
