So what happened to Fluid Marine? It seems that everyone knows but me LOL. I tried searching for the answer but couldn't find it. Can you point me to the thread so I can participate in real time. Paddy

    c-dory warrenties worthless?

Have any of you seen much change in the price of boats from Fluid to SeaSport? How has it affected the 22 cruiser? As an aside to this, I recently spoke with dealer in Long Island, he said C Dory had stopped production of the 23 Venture due to the downturn. I found this curious, as I was...

Would the 22 benefit from more weight?

Tim, the reason for my post was to compare the lighter design of the CD to the heavy feel and Deep V of a Boston Whaler. I feel everybody has answered my questions pretty well. And I certainly have no intention of being out in breaking seas but I take the point about the seaworthiness.

Would the 22 benefit from more weight?

Would the 22 benefit from more weight? The reason for my question is that I am a Boston Whaler owner and my 21ft Ventura is 3300 lbs without an engine. In as much as my Whaler is expensive to operate, it feels very safe. So as I consider choosing a 22 CD (for many good reasons) I want to ask...

    Twins - weight factor

I've enjoyed learning about the magic of the 22' Now when it comes to engines, does the weight of 2 x 50 hp affect the boat's performance vs a 90 or 115hp. There something so exciting about twins (must be a guy thing) You have to admit the 22 is not an extremely heavy boat. I'm guessing the flat...

    Help needed with searching

If I was looking for posts that discussed "night cruising with a radar", how exactly should I query the search. I seem to be getting too many hits. Each one has all the words but they are in different parts of the query and not necessarily relevant. Can you help? Paddy

A question for you 22' owners

Oh my! I am overwhelmed with all the responses. I have to say, C Dory owners have to be one of the neatest crowds I've ever come across. The are giving, welcoming, inventive (just look at those albums), sharing and seem like a lot of fun. Enough of the platitudes. Here's my take away. I can...

A question for you 22' owners

As I try to make up my mind on whether to go with the 25' or the 22', I would like to ask all you 22' owners a question. If money was not an objection, would you chose the 25' C Dory or stay with your 22'? Tell me why... either way. Paddy from Newfoundland

26 Venture vs the Classic...Advice please

You mentioned (Dauntless) that you have some concerns about puncturing the hull and sinking. Do you carry an inflatable on the roof? Seems like a good idea given the added concern? I have a British Columbia dealer who has two 23 Ventura's in stock. He is willing to sell then for about 70k each...

26 Venture vs the Classic...Advice please

I saw your duel console 20 Dauntless. I have a 21 Ventura...they look the same? I thought the Dauntless was a centre console?? I am wrestling with a few things....Is the lighter weight a liability with regards to stability. I'm getting the sense from you and others that its not. I don't travel...

26 Venture vs the Classic...Advice please

Hello...I am a Boston Whaler owner off the coast of Newfoundland. I'm seriously considering moving to C Dory mainly because of enclosed cabin (many of the same weather issues as you have on the west coast) and heat. I find the 26 Venture an interesting boat, the spec sheet says the boat has a...

    Is CDory too light??

Thanks folks, I appreciate your perspectives. I know I will have a few more questions in the coming days. As look out the window today here in St. John's, it is 42 degrees and no wind, too cold for my Whaler but likely a great CDory day. Paddy

    Is CDory too light??

Jim, Bill & 20Dauntless, Guys, I was referring to the 25', sorry. You guys nailed the answers I was looking for. With my 2005 BW (21ft Ventura w 225 Verado) I am relegated to a very short boating season here off Newfoundland. Our May/Junes and September/Octobers can be mighty chilly. It...

    Is CDory too light??

Hi...I'm new to the forum. I presently have a Boston Whaler and am very interested in finding a Pilothouse boat like CDoryvas I live in Newfoundland (east coast of Canada). A warm boating experience would be really nice. I have a question about the weight of this boat, namely the 24'. My Whaler...
