    Bellingham in July?

My wife and I are coming up to your beautiful area in July. We would like to rent or sublet a slip (25 foot or larger) in the Bellingham area. If anyone has any suggestions please let us know. We would expect to pay a premium for a 1 month rental. Perhaps one of you is heading up to Alaska...

    Suggestion for small AC heater

We have a small oil filled heater. Like the radiator looking ones that you see in homes. But considerably smaller with tip-over/ shutoff feature. It doesn't throw out tons of heat but it's completely quiet for undisturbed sleeping. We got it off of Amazon. I think it was about sixty bucks.

    Pacific Coast Highway

If you're going to stay on Hwy.1 down the California coast, through Fort Bragg, I have a recommendation. Queenie's Roadhouse in Elk has IMHO the best breakfast in Mendocino County. Very good lunches too. If you want a little exercise afterward there's a nice walk down to the beach, where you...

    Hello any Northern California C-brats???

Welcome. I think C-Dory's are great though I don't have tons of boating experience. I know the C-Brats are great. I do have experience with other user groups and I think this is one of the best. My guess is the average C-Brat isn't pretentious, appreciates quality, and has a few years under...

Fleet Week C-Brat gathering on SF Bay this weekend

Sounds like a good idea. Unfortunately we have a commitment elsewhere. I was out on the Bay last Saturday morning, moving Tranquilo back to Petaluma from KKMI in Richmond where she got her bottom prettied up. There was supposedly Gale force winds coming in the afternoon. All went well but...

    Motor Support for Trailering

I have a lot less trailering experience then Ken but I just used the supports that came with the outboards. We have a CD-25 with a 150 Verado and a 20 hp Honda kicker. I tried putting the engines down initially but it looked like an accident waiting to happen. I know that the manufacturers...

    V-berth memory foam?

Thanks for all the input. We just ordered a king size topper of 2" memory foam from Overstock.com. We're looking forward to making a great experience even better. Jeff

    V-berth memory foam?

I read in some earlier posts that some C-brats like to put 2" memory foam on the V-berth. That sounds like a good idea. It looks like a "topper" for a king size bed might almost cover the berth (a little short in the bottom corners). I'm wondering what others have done. Cut it down, order a...

    New Tundras and CD-25's

After this discussion, last spring, we bought the Tundra with tow package and big engine, etc. A round trip from San Francisco area to Olympia and back with our CD25 was the first tow. It worked very well. The tow option for the transmission was great. As was the shift on the fly option for...

    05/13 - 05/17 - 7th Annual Delta/Bay Extravaganza

Hi Jim, My wife can't take weekdays off (she's a school principal) but we'd like to hang out with the group if possible. Perhaps we could hook up with you in Sausalito on Sat. A.M. Then travel over to San Francisco with you. Ifff there was a slip available we would spend the night, if...

    New Tundras and CD-25's

Thanks for all the input. I have a Dodge 3500 diesel service truck which I used when I picked up the boat in Washington. That truck is part of my business so I can't use it normally - if I want the business to keep going when I'm on vacation. In response to Dave Deem, I've owned Fords...

    New Tundras and CD-25's

The new Tundras can supposedly pull 10,400 lbs. I like Toyotas and if they can comfortably pull our cruiser maybe that's the truck I should be saving for. I know that a lot of you like a 3/4 ton (or higher) for towing the CD-25. Sooo is anyone out there using one of the newer Tundras or maybe...

    Welcome to the C-Brats!

Hi All, I've been lurking for awhile but it's time to come out and join the group. My name is Jeff Pugh and my wife's name is Donna. We bought Lee and Ronalee Kincaid's 25 foot cruiser in Bellingham last month. It's renamed the Tranquilo (no name was actually on the boat when we got it). My...
