You're right Rogerbum, I should have charged you all for that photo... :) I could use the bucks.

Bears Becoming Harder to See in Prince William Sound?

Hi Mike, I KNOW we can enjoy each other's company. And I hope I can make it to the gathering. Anyone that is willing to defend himself as eloquently as you, and without resorting to insults is someone I'd like to have a beer with any time. You asked my reason for writing my reply, and I will...

Bears Becoming Harder to See in Prince William Sound?

C-Biscuit Posted: Thu Mar 23, 2006 7:32 pm Original Post subject: Schoppe Bay Rendezvous -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- C-Biscuit and gang will be there. At the head of the bay there is a narrow (20 feet or so) ravine and channel that...

Thank you for the intelligent and well-spoken reply. I will start a new topic so we don't take over this one. It can be followed here:http://www.c-brats.com/viewtopic.php?t=3464

Jammin's Jungle Gym - Kayak Carrier - Radar Arch

I'd say all told with Yakima racks and all about $450. Was it worth it? To see the smiling face of my lovely wife sitting in her handmade wooden seakayak again, I'd a paid a thousand. :D http://www.c-brats.com/albums/C-Worthy/X_MAS9.jpg

Thanks for the kind words Cavu. I'm way proud. 3-years in the design phase, 3 days in the construction phase... I would be a little afraid of regularly removing the rack from the bases since those tiny little set screws are pretty soft and can strip fairly easily. A set-up with cotter pins...

Well, that's too bad C-Biscuit. I sure would have liked to see him roaming about. :( I see fewer and fewer bears out there every year I go, for the past 9 years. With the road access to Whittier I knew we'd see some big changes to the Sound, but I guess I didn't expect them to be so apparent...

Jammin's Jungle Gym - Kayak Carrier - Radar Arch

Finally got 'er bent, drilled, and mounted. Oops, that could sound bad on the wrong website. Here's the photos. The machine shop decided to do a continous radius bend, instead of trying to do the two bends. Looks great, and I can't wait to put the Yakima racks and the kayaks on it...

Just the bending, actually. Sorry. The rest should just need tightening with the allen wrench screws.

    BOATS OF THE WEIRD

Actually, I'm not so sure it's not him. :wink He did move down to SE Alaska afterall. If he cut off his pony tail and grew a beard maybeeee... And, the name "Richard Trojan" can't possibly be real.

I've got a rack for the top that I've been humming over for two years, and have it at the welders right now. I hope to have photos soon. The bars will need two 5 degree bends to clear the top of the roof line. Here are the materials: 3 - 1" x 6ft. Stainless bars 4 - 1" x 125 deg. Stainless...

    BOATS OF THE WEIRD

I figured this would be a fun place to put photos and chat on strange boats we see out rambling about the wet world. This will be a place to post links and photos to these odd ducks. Here's a website of a fellow in Southeast Alaska that's making aluminum amphibious crafts. He calls them The...

    Anacortes to Skagway

Thes guys did a mighty fine job of moving C-Worthy up from Seattle to Haines, and storage in their yard was no problem. I'd really recommend them, and I see they deliver to Skagway, too.. Northland Services (907) 766-3555 1021 Haines Hwy Haines, AK 99827...

Thanks for the offer, Tom, I'm slipped in Whittier and don't trailer, so Homer is pretty much out for me, but it did occur to me that if I keep calling flounders "baby halibuts" my count goes up... :embarrased Hope to see you out there.

    C-Worthy

Hi Tom, Yeah, it does look skimpy, though I'm hoping for a big ol' March dump. Do yer snow dance. As for spots to ski, Long Bay to the FS cabin is awfully nice for a variety of terrain, and Derickson Bay in Nellie Juan would be primo with all the open terrain. Of course, it depends on the...

Sounds like fun folks. Hope I can meet you out there. Schoppe is nice, though it can be a bit breezey. Lots of nice hideyholes though. Cascade Bay is pretty cold at night, due to the mega waterfall, but Derickson is well-protected. Eaglek is good for shrimp, but I can't comment on halibut. I'm...

What would you like to see on the new C-Ranger R25 tug?
