    Permatrim slowing me down?

I would say that over all permatrim has helped to increase my speed because of stopping the pounding. My trim tabs levels the boat at speed but never did a lot to keep the nose down and boat from pounding. If the permatrim is not submerged some I don't think it could do what it is designed to...

    Super Cleaner for Cockpits

Roger, I have great luck with "Non-skid Deck Cleaner with PTEF" made by Starbrite. The PTEF is a protective non-slippery coating. Even though it is non-slippery it puts on a nice shine after doing a great cleaning job. I use it on all the non-slip surfaces. I seem to remember some time back a...

    Mrs Byrd suffers brain aneurysm

I received a phone call from Mike. Mrs Norma Byrd (Momma Byrd) passed this morning December 5, at 4:20 am. When I stopped at the hospital to visit, family members were very comforted by statements, prayers and contacts concerning their mother that were made by friends from this site. This is...

    Mrs Byrd suffers brain aneurysm

Mrs Byrd on the left visiting with Cathy from C-Pearl in the spring of '07 at a gathering at her home. Many of us for years have enjoyed Mrs Byrds hospitality when visiting the Cumberland river and C-Brat gatherings at her home. You may have also met her at one of the Seattle gatherings. I...

    25 motor size

I would recommend the Suzuki 175. Like mentioned earlier the weight on all engines are close. The Suzuki 175 has VVT which helps get power from off the line to get on plane or anything else power comes in handy for. The Suzuki 150 and 175 are identical except for the VVT and both swing a 16"...

    Do I really need Radar?

I don't do much night travel but always use the radar when I do. The electronic charts do not always show the shoreline and channel markers accurately on these winding rivers but radar does a great job at that.

25ft Cruiser Scupper Design / Pictures Explaination

My scuppers have a back flow preventer. If yours do not then gravity wins. If your cockpit drain is below the water line you will have water coming in unless you plug the drain. I personally don't think the drains will evacuate the water fast enough to save you if the deck gets pooped. They will...

edfw C-Pearl is the first boat Cathy & I have owned. I'm not sure how other boats handle but I can tell you that after playing a while we get along well on our single engine cd25. We have boated in your area as well as rivers and lakes around the Southeast. This includes locking through dams...
