    Boat heaters

Sea Angel's experience might be useful information. His experience suggests that using the Wallas as a heater with the top up when the flame is set to minimum is OK. This eliminates the annoying fan noise which, on the Wallas 95, runs at full speed only regardless of flame level; there is no...

    Ride Performance- CD25 vs CD22

<<All of our boats drink gas and we all know it. Surely there are worse boats, but come on, no matter how you slice it, this is terrible mileage.....>> Yeah I feel really bad about that but I have these handy carbon credits in my pocket, you see. I'm really quite green, you know. <<Terrible...

what are the pro and cons of the cdory 25?

<<it seem like the cdory have lots of little problems just from reading through the info on this web site>> To expand on Dr. Bob's comment, one of the main purposes of this forum, and other forums like this one, is to discuss the problems and how to fix them. Go to any forum that is devoted to...

    Monitoring House Bank/Charging System

Overkill is good. Here's one that shows voltage to .001: Over the top, but fun to play with.

    cdory 26 venture

Hey you 26 owners, I might be too big for your boat but I have seen them in action during a brat cruise and I know that they're one good looking boat in action on the water. Let's see some photos in your albums! They're underrepresented. Please? This is the best I can do from my own portfolio...

    cdory 26 venture

In addition to the lower headroom, another important issue to consider is the narrower cabin in the 26. This is caused by the wider outside gunnel walkways to the bow on both sides. That may be nice for bow access, but it reduces interior cabin space. At 6'8¼" myself, I had to stoop inside the...

I need some feedback on our breast cancer tour RV

I applaud your efforts. However, keep in mind as you drive across the country that you will generate negative reactions to that billboard design. There are plenty of women's activist groups looking for fodder to justify their own "sexualizing women is bad" campaigns. Just be aware of this...

    Cored Hulls

I recall there being an article written, by Dr. Bob perhaps, and posted here some time ago with details on how to do the hole re-drill job being mentioned in this thread. Could someone please look that up and post the link? Now would be a good time to bring that procedure to light again. Thanks.

    Honda 150

Have you looked in the manual on page 8-1? Chapter 8: Thermostats/Relief Valve/Flush Valve. Page one identifies the 1/8 BPT Water Pressure Gauge Plug in my manual.

    Honda 150

The water pressure gauge plug is located on the side of the thermostat housing which is at the top of the engine. The plug is directly below where the large water relief tube connects to the thermostat cover. Hope this helps.

    What size torque wrench?

Correction: The Microtork mentioned above as 25 - 250 torque range has a minimum setting of 25 in-lbs, not 25 ft-lbs. This equates to about 2 ft-lbs, so that makes it a good option for low range needs. Made in USA.

    LED Navigation Lights

<<i replaced my original 1981 nav lights (red/green) with LED's>> That's good service from the bulbs. I would save those puppies as backup in case the LEDs fail.

    Safety Concern!!!

Here is a photo of a Les Lampman installed Keelguard. It is layered over the standard brass item. Notwithstanding the aesthetic, or lack thereof, it does provide an extra measure of protection against both internal screw failure and external impact and abrasion.

C-Dory Factory Questions for the Group

At 6'8'' myself, imagine my joy and surprise at finding that I can stand upright inside the CD25. There is no other small cabin cruiser in the world that can accommodate tall people as well as the 25. I would lament seeing the altitudinous cabin reduced by even one inch, no less by two or more.

    gear Oil

My Honda 150 owner's manual does not mention the word Hypoid whereas the shop manual says "Marine SAE 90 Hypoid gear oil API Service classification (GL-4)". I agree that the word Hypoid is not necessary on the bottle, but it helps people to identify the correct oil without having to read the...

    gear Oil

Hondas call for Hypoid 90 as well. Hypoid oils have special anti-wear additives due to the spiral design and sliding action of the gears.

    Another wireless broadband question...

Jim - I can speak to the fringe area portion of your question. My verizon mifi card works in areas where my verizon cell phone does not, specifically on Lopez Is. For some reason it is able to get a good connection where my cell phone shows no signal and cannot make phone calls at all. I use...

How does a C-Dory handle heavy weather

Hello AJF and welcome to the forum. There has been extensive discussion about the rough water capabilities of these boats which can be accessed with the search feature, but I expect that you will get more comments directly. Of greater interest to me is your question about "what it is like for...
