Honda 150

Can anyone tell me where the water pressure transmitter for the water pressure gage at the helm is located ? My gage doesn't work, yet there is plenty of flow from the pee hole.

TIA

There isn't a water pressure gauge on the dash of Journey On, which also has a 150. There is a pitot tube pick up at the bottom of the lower housing, but I'm not sure where it ends up on the dash, or what it does there. It would only indicate through-the-water speed, though.

There is an coolant overtemp sensor, which sounds an alarm and shuts the engine down, but no gauge there.

There's a fuel pressure gauge on the dash and someday I'd like to find out why it varies while the RPM's are steady.

I think the only water pressure gauge is the pee hole.

If you find out different, my apologies.

The water pressure gauge plug is located on the side of the thermostat housing which is at the top of the engine. The plug is directly below where the large water relief tube connects to the thermostat cover. Hope this helps.

I just looked at the dash of Journey On (again.) The gauge is labeled "Pressure" and I was told that it was a fuel pressure gauge, and it sort of acted like one. Can't find the sensor for that, either. Next step is to ask a Honda dealer.

At the top rear of the engine under the cover you will find a small 1/4" plastic tube that attaches to the engine via a brass fitting. I have had to take mine apart twice and clean out the accumulation of salt crystals.

Have you looked in the manual on page 8-1? Chapter 8: Thermostats/Relief Valve/Flush Valve. Page one identifies the 1/8 BPT Water Pressure Gauge Plug in my manual.
