As I thought about this I was taken back to my Dad's last boat, a 45' Cruise-A-Home. In the main salon it had a wonderful heater called "The Cat". It was a catalytic heater (like the heat buddy) but it was permanently installed, AND VENTED. So I searched the net ("THE CAT" catalytic heater)...

Here's one way... You can make a template out of cardboard and run over to TAP Plastics in Lynnwood. They'll create a custom deck-guard while you wait. Custom fit and color-coordinated. A few dabs of your favorite adhesive will hold it in place.
