Can you recommend a specific brand of fuel bladder

I think I am going to go your way....Just can't bear to part with $500 to $600 for a 20-gal bladder when four 5-gal general purpose cans from the neighborhood hardware store will be literally a tenth of the cost.

    Refrigerator power consumption

I'm thinking about installing a little fridge on my 22' that draws 3 Amps at 12VDC but don't know whether to upgrade my house battery. Has anyone measured the power consumed over a 24h period to know how many amp hours it would draw at a given air temperature range?

Can you recommend a specific brand of fuel bladder

Hello, I'm interested in extending my cruising range through a collapsible fuel bladder and am seeing models from Imtra, Turtle-Pac, and others. Does anyone have experience with a specific brand that you'd recommend?

    Raymarine S1000 settings

Hi folks, wanted to close-out this topic. Since my original post, I engaged Raymarine customer support, who initally blamed the GPS manufacturer (Garmin), then had me send the unit back to Raymarine. Raymarine declared nothing wrong with it and sent it back. I've re-intsalled it and wanted to...

    Raymarine S1000 settings

For those of you who are pleased with the operation of your Raymarine s1000 autopilots, am wondering if you could tell me the following settings for your unit: Rudder Gain? Counter Rudder? Response? Auto Trim? Rudder Deadband? Hardware/Software Version? My new unit will hold a course ("Auto"...

NMEA Wiring - Raymarine S1000 to Garmin GPS

Hi folks, I know that the Raymarine S1000 autopilot is discussed extensively in other threads, but I still don't understand how to make the data wiring connection between the Raymarine unit and a 3rd-party GPS (Garmin in this case). The Ray has 4 wires for data (power is separate): -ve out +ve...

    12/16 - Lake Washington/Locks Cruise - CANCELLED

All, sorry to say that I won't be able to make it this weekend. My wife and I are in the middle of a do-it-yourself remodel and are way off schedule. Have a great time and don't sweat the locks.

    12/16 - Lake Washington/Locks Cruise - CANCELLED

Hi folks, I've been busy at work and haven't seen this thread in about a week, so let me clarify a couple of points about the locks: 1) I am stopping by the dealer according to whatever the schedule is, so if you'd like to skip the dealer and go straight through the locks, go for it! If you're...

    San jaun snow!!!

It's snowing here in Magnolia about 600' up so I went to Ballard to check on the Jenny G but it's just sleeting along the ship canal. She did have a bit of ice on deck but nothing scary. Shore power and heater are fired up just to keep the chill off of her.

The C-Dory handles well in rough water

Pat, I agree with you wholeheartedly on the tabs. I was a little nervous about how spendy they are but have really enjoyed them, initially for the speed increase in smooth water but now also for the increased comfort in the moderate stuff. I would say that anybody getting a new 22' should just...

The C-Dory handles well in rough water

Since the ride of the C-Dory hull gets mentioned from time to time on these forums, I wanted to comment on it to the many prospective buyers who patrol this site to learn about the boats. First, there's calm water. Any boat does well here and the C-Dory is no exception. Initially, I wished for...

    12/16 - Lake Washington/Locks Cruise - CANCELLED

I would second Pat that Bell Harbor Marina is an excellent choice if you're venturing through the locks because all of downtown Seattle will be at your doorstep. Shilshole Marina is also available and much closer...probably a half mile from the saltwater side of the locks.

    12/16 - Lake Washington/Locks Cruise - CANCELLED

Since you're all trying to figure out the timing of things, I kept my GPS on today for our tour of the ship canal and down the Western shore of Lake Washington. Here are a few reference points: Locks to Sea Ray dealer: 39 min @ 5mph Webster Point to Sea Ray dealer: 32 min @ 7mph Webster Point...

    12/16 - Lake Washington/Locks Cruise - CANCELLED

A couple of thoughts for those locking through because it sounds like this might be your first time: 1. It is highly likely that you'll come into the small lock. There are two rows of bollards on floating walls that line either side of the small lock. The lower bollards will be perfect for your...

    best adhesive for underwater work?

Joe - I'm talking about #1: making the repair on land, letting it air dry, then having it be underwater when the boat is in the water.

    best adhesive for underwater work?

With all of the debris floating around in Puget Sound I've already managed to tag my transom-mount transducer and break the flange of the plastic bracket in which it fits. Last night, a failed superglue attempt let me know that I need something more serious. Should I use...
