Removing the alcohol stove REPLACING with Wallace

We use an EcoFan on the cooler burner to push air into the berth. It works nicely, with no power draw. Here it is on Amazon

    C-Dory Sightings

Saw a Tomcat 255 Heading north on I-5, just before the Terwilliger curves. Appeared to be green trim.

    Truck for C Dory 25.

Bob, I think you’ll enjoy the new truck. The 6.7 is a great engine. With the camper on, and our 22, I think we are pretty close to 10,000 pounds. It’s a rare grade that gives us any problem. A caveat... stay away from cut rate fuel stops. I just put $3,000 into my truck be cause of a...

    Cleaning a pilothouse boat

Hmmmm, magic... I like magic. I’m thinking it will be nice on the Northern Lite camper as well as the boat.

    Dusty's passing

I never met Dusty in person, but we chatted many times, first on CDogs and then here with the CBrats. I learned a lot from him. If I remember correctly, he was a NAP (enlisted) pilot who then received a commission. I am sorry to learn of his passing.

Pulling a 25, those are good towing numbers.

Best MPG Vehicle that can tow 5k lbs.(For CD22)

If you’re only towing from Tilllmook to a local ramp or Garibaldi, the Highlander would be OK, but personally I’d prefer a more capable vehicle for any trip with a significant climb or descent.

keeping a straight tack trolling on a kicker

Blair, are you hand steering, or do you use a tie rod? I find the tie rod works better, a bit of tension on the pivot tube is good as well.

    worth of a 16' cruiser

I considered building a boat some years ago. When talking to a man who built a stunning Herreshoff Mobjac ketch, he asked the question... Do you want to build a boat, or do you want to boat? I bought a boat. I think you will need to factor that into your decision. If the core has become...

    What material would you use?

Conrad, if you have a Tap Plastics (or other plastics biz) nearby, check with them. They often have scraps leftover from bigger jobs. Steve

    26 Venture

My 2¢... I’d have it come down a back corner of the house. Probably the corner that has the wiring loom for the anchor light. I’d use 8 gauge marine wire, and put the controller as close to the batteries as possible. If you can miss a cored section of the house top, less chance of future...

    C-Dory Advice

Austin, If you decide on a CDory, I recommend putting a Permatrim plate on the motor(s if twins). They do a great job of bringing the bow down to deal with chop. Good luck in your decision and search. Steve
