  1. Blue Mesa Reservoir, CO port of call (Cebolla River arm) @ 8000 ft. Near Gunnison, CO. Caught many nice rainbows, browns, and lake trout on this recent trip in October 2020. Fresh Fish was a fabulous boat to stay aboard.

    Trouble Shooting

Nice to see you are traveling around Colby. I'm sorry for your issues, but of all people, you are one to take em on and beat em. Been to many a boat show, and all the seminars put on by boating experts all say that fuel issues are usually the cause of most problems. good for you chasing it all...

Gulf of Mexico 2019 haul report

WOW. What a great trip that must be bein out on the gulf in your CD22. Big sky and big water and a reef below you full filling up the sonar unit with marks. When I lived in IL, I used to go down to Gulf Shores, AL and work the off shore reefs and oil platforms in my CD16. Really enjoyed that...

Red lights other than Nav lights...?

As usual, Dr. Bob is spot on about the work lights and RED LED's. I use a bright red LED flood work point the stern to illuminate my night fishing on Lake Michigan for big Chinooks. It works perfect: didn't have any problems identifying my lures etc, and didn't attract nearly the insects that...

    Mold and mildew cleaners

BTW: CONSAN is not toxic to the paint on FRESH FISH, and does not stink. I saw no damage to any parts of the boat as the material is made to be used around lawn and garden areas. I did wear gloves, but did not need a respirator when working in confined parts of FRESH FISH.

    Mold and mildew cleaners

I bought a CD22 located in Virginia. Had a marine surveyor put it through it's trials, and when I picked up the boat, it was absolutely infested with black mold in so many locations, that I almost walked away from the deal (why the mold wasn't on his report is beyond me). I did not want to...

  8. Close up of previous picture of Lake Granby, CO tie out. Unbelievably quiet with more stars then I've seen in many a year.

    Bottom paint removal

I bought my CD22 Cruuser from a guy in Chesapeake Bay that had her in the water WAAAAAAAy too long. When I brought her home, I was facing several layers of badly applied bottom paint, and a whole bunch of barnacles attached to the bottom, the trim tabs, and the gimbal on the motor. I solved this...

    Boat Covers

Agree with the folks above regarding Angola, in Indiana as the shop to go with. They were $1,000 for a well fitting cover in February of this year. They made the whole cover via pattern and shipped it to me within a week of putting down a deposit. I had them extend the cover further down the...

    Just looking for some information

I know several charter captains on the east side of lake Michigan that use the AP/15 hp set up you described. They use this set up all the time to run their boat while they manage their gear. The only drawback is the little or no amperage thru the 15 to charge your batteries. If you want to...

Lenco trim tab actuator issues exposed

A few weeks ago, I found my starboard side Lenco trim tab actuator, or piston, or whatever they're called, had pulled away form the SS trim tab. I replaced the tab, and took the damaged piece apart. I decided to post the photos in my photo album in case anyone else wants to see what the inside...

    Yamaha vs Suzuki

If this post is still about Yamaha VS Suzuki... Just went through a re-power of my CD22: a brand new Yamaha F115 installed on my CD22 here in CO. Will be going through the break in period in the next couple of days and will post on the performance of the Yamaha F115 here at 6,000 ft elevation...
