One more thing. I have a Ford F 150 1/2 ton with the small V8 in 4x4. I towed my C Dory 22 from Tampa, Fl to Whidbey Island, Wa and didn't even know it was behind me. The 4x4 capability makes launching and recovering a lot easier. I'm moving up to a C Dory 25 and my truck will still handle it.

I want to echo the comments of the people regarding I/Os versus outboards. I owned a hardtop Trophy which I loved but it had an I/O. That was pure hell. I'll never own another boat with an I/O. Outboards are more expensive up front but will pay dividends in the long run. And if you have to...
